May turn out to be great at JSU and end up in the NFL.  But what I saw of him he looked slight. And he didn't have the best hands.  Maybe that fumble that nearly cost us the JSU game last year was a set up. 

Didn't seem to have enough speed to get outside.  Not enough frame to pound the middle.  Not elusive enough to create space. 

Not saying "didn't want him anyway" and hate to lose depth.  But this may be a good thing for him.  JSU has no backfield and his high school coach is there

I only worry about what the al.com spin will be and how that could impact recruiting.

Agreed. To me its more a depth issue. If Jovon gets injured, AU would be down to 2 backs with one more of a FB.

Does this change the Gus approach of who is starting QB for 2016?

Carry On is not an every down back IMO.  If Jovon does go down, we have Malik Miller as the only other true RB on the roster.  That is, if you don't consider Cox and Pettway.  I would definitely be getting one of those guys (FB's) reps at tailback.  But, I kind of imagine CoGus knows that.
