That is true. He was definitely being watched by the FBI, which is why this bullshit about his mosque being put on some PC free-pass list makes even less sense than it does on its face.

He passed a background check TWICE to legally purchase his gun.

And it would be great if we could have prevented this somehow. But I'm earnestly asking what exactly can the FBI do if he hadn't committed a crime to that point? Unless Minority Report is a reality and you can be charged with "PreCrime". In actual reality we have the fourth and fifth amendments, which are just as important as the second one.

But if an administration would purposely put what it deems its enemies on an irs audit list, I think it's highly plausible that it would do the same and opposite thing with people it sympathizes with.

Right. So I think it is possible that it could have been botched whether on purpose or not. Or just plain ineptness. The trench level people compile those lists. Higher above is where things can get added and deleted. Just like the irs audit lists with tea party orgs. There was no reason to audit them. But they were added from up above. I just think the same could happen in this case. But in your defense, the question I would ask is why? What would be her motive? I would lean to the side of just plain idiocy and being inept. Just like Benghazi.

As I acknowledged to in the other thread, Hillary & Obama both are much more interested in this latest incident falling into the "gun control" narrative than the "radical Islam" narrative. I agree with that.

Just exploring all avenues. Did this happen under her watch? Real question. Just trying to piece it all together. I seriously don't know the motive if done deliberately and I admit that's a plot hole. So I don't know if she or a cohort had this Cats case closed for malicious reasons or expedient ones. I would not have considered this as a possibility until this current crop of clueless buffoons we have in office ascended to the throne in DC. Today, I wouldn't put it past them. Look at who we have in charge at DHS. Look at the background of some of the key advisors in this administration. The likelihood that this occurred is not zero.
