If you thought those 4 guys didn't do anything you obviously haven't paid attention. It takes a lot of balls to take on unions. And win. And to filibuster Barry. Twice. And willing to use the purse strings to reign in runaway costs. Isn't that what we wanted? People who have some balls to do unpopular things on Capitol Hill. Isn't that what Walker Cruz and Paul have done? Like them or hate them, those guys had solid records of doing major things to buck the current system. They couldn't do it alone. But they got lumped in with McConnel, bush and McCain.

Was about to post this same thing.  How in the world they got lumped in with the establishment in their short times in congress and have people believe it was one hell of a con job.

CCTAU & Kaos would never shut up about what a blithering idiot he is

You know nothing.

I wouldn't support her for anything.  I don't know if she smells like sulfur, but I'm smart enough to see her for what she is.  Evil, corrupt, power-mad, deranged, bogus, elitist, piece of shit who's never worked for anything in her life.  She's clueless about what makes the world work, wants to impose her sick and twisted vision of "utopia" on all of us little people who are beneath her and hardly worthy of her notice.  She's rage-fueled and revenge-minded.  She has no regard for America or the freedoms we take for granted. Obama considers himself the emperor of the world. She views herself as the queen of the globe.  Don't have a problem with thinking globally so long as you put American interests first.  NAFTA?  That was HER brainchild, not Billy's.  She lobbied for it. She promoted it. It murdered small town America.  On purpose?  Maybe so. She could give a fuck about the average little man.  She caters to the urban elite. Who gives a shit if Cornstalk Iowa has dozens of boarded up storefronts and hundreds of empty homes after the textile jobs all got shipped to Mexico and the middle class fell apart.  That doesn't concern her.  Of course she lies her ass off now and says she didn't want it when she did.  Obamacare?  She wants credit for that too. And it's a big, stinking socialist turd.

So no, it doesn't matter who's running against her.  I'm for them, whoever they are.

In general, however, I'm issue specific.

I want a candidate who's going to rein in the tax structure. Forget spreading the wealth, how about we spread the fucking burden for a change.  I'm not rich, but the amount of taxes I pay -- just wrote a check today, actually -- is staggering.  If I could cut it by 10-15% even, I'd be able to hire at least one more person, pay that person a decent living wage and provide them benefits.  That person could buy things and pay taxes which would, in turn, keep other businesses alive and people employed.

Except I can't.  When the government is raping me up front with this Obamacare bullshit and then jamming it in from behind with taxes?  It's killing me.

I want a candidate who's going to put America first.

First in defense.
First in trade.
First in negotiation.

I want somebody who has a plan to pull back on government control.  It's not the feds business how states handle marriage issues, education issues, or any of the things they are trying to 1984 on us these days.

If that person is a democrat?  So be it. I'd vote for them.  That hasn't been the case in my lifetime.

Trump's not perfect. But -- for hopefully the last time -- he's better than her no matter what he said on a bus.  My God, that's such small potatoes.  You'd think he'd killed babies after raping their mothers.

MILKTOAST. None of them could look anyone in the eye and convince them. Wavered on all hot topic buttons. Only Cruz seemed to have the balls, but came across as holier than thou. In the end, most of them turned out to be right there with the other establishment GOP. I had hopes for Cruz, but he showed his true colors too.

The GOP did this to themselves. Yes the loudest guy was heard. But he was saying we wanted to hear. Whether it si true or not, it seemed he actually looked around and saw what was going on. The rest were playing politics and got beat.
Too bad for a couple of those guys. But I see a bright future for several of them.

Because it became insurgent vs establishment. One or the other. When in reality there were three routes. If we wanted an insurgent businessman Hermain Cain would have been much better. Again, we have future elections. And congressional elections. It's important to learn lessons from this year. Trumps saving grace may indeed be Supreme Court picks. If he stands by the list he released, it's a far better list than what Hillary will submit. I'll give him that much. But as sad I hate to say this, his economic plan will drive us deeper in debt. More so than hers. That liberal Cato institute even said as much.

I've seen many different interpretations of this.

Bring back jobs and we have plenty of tax money. Whether it is bad in the short term or not, we have to do something now. If not, we only stretch it out a bit further.

Show of hands, how many of us actually produce a product any longer?

We do need manufacturing back. We need a balanced economy. We're way too service and luxury heavy.

The way back is through jobs.

But we can't have jobs because of NAFTA.
Government needs more money because it's a big greedy hog feeding at a trough, so when the jobs go away and the tax base shrinks, they stick it harder to those of us who would actually employ people.
Then we can't hire anybody because we can't afford it.  So we don't grow.
And the economy shrinks.
And they stick it to us harder.
And we lay people off.  The economy shrinks.
And they stick it to us harder.

There's a tipping point.  We're very close to it.  There's going to come a point where there's not enough of us to support the Bernie/Prowler crowd.  It's going to get ugly then.

GOP screwed us all when they didn't pressure Jeb enough to run in 2000.  Now, would he have been the second coming of Reagan, of course not, but he would have been twice the PTOUS that his brother was.....which still isn't saying much, but you get the point.

No, I have expressed it earlier in this thread and others.
What a faggot, expecting him to read people's posts before he goes on a tier attributing what he thinks their positions are.

He called all Trump supporters "bastards". It hurt my feelings. I don't have a safe space, therefore I pulled out my BIG 6" meme and whacked his ass.
Reading is really hard for this guy.

"The bastards" are Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. I find it amazing that you found a way to read that as "all Republicans". By not reading it, I guess.

By the way, I was referencing this book:

First in defense.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2013/01/07/everything-chuck-hagel-needs-to-know-about-the-defense-budget-in-charts/

I don't think there's any chance we'll ever NOT be #1 there. By the way, all that funding comes from the taxes you're bitching about.

Quote
First in trade.
First in negotiation.
Whut? Please show me the world "trade and negotiation rankings". And Trump & Hillary have basically the same trade policy, which is the opposite of the Republican party's traditional pro-trade policy. If you want to be "first in trade", assuming that means actually encouraging it, then Gary Johnson's your guy.

People are gonna vote.

I don't think it will go the way the polls suggest, though.  That bitch will probably still win and all of us in the basket of losers will have to bend to her will.  I think it will be closer than people think.

Why?  Dumb reason really.  My daughter said they had a vote in her class.  Had a class debate where two people were for Trump and the rest of the class was for Clinton.  Teacher was solid for Clinton (surprise there).  They looked at their positions on three major topics:  Immigration, terrorism and economy.  (or so she says).

Then they took a blind vote.  Trump won.  Teacher asked for a show of hands.  Nobody voted for Trump. Nobody would admit it except the two who argued for him.  Except the majority did vote for him when they weren't being asked to do so in public.

Does that mean anything?  Probably not.  It does, to me at least, indicate that there may be a larger group than we'd think who are quietly going to pull his lever (aka grab him by the pussy) when the time comes behind closed doors.  The media is so harsh on Trump, so negative toward him that people are afraid to admit in public that they support the man or will vote for him.  There's a stigma attached.

Regardless of the outcome?  I think that's PATHETIC.  When millions of people are debased and scorned for making a political choice? That's not the America I know.

Turned Fox News on when I walked in, was just interested in what they were saying. 25 minutes spent talking about Trump baby, how awesome the energy question guy is and they played a video of the debate with a song dubbed to it.

They've conceded.
