Agree, but UAT would be forced to pick a permanent rival...UT or AU?  Possibility we'd only have to deal with the inbreds every now and again in the regular season.

Tough call, not sure how I would feel about that.

From a CURRENT gameplay perspective certainly seems like an easier road, but that can change in the blink of an eye.  I think I would miss playing our west foes, I so enjoy hating on all of them.

It would be nice to pick the Gatahs back up especially as a road game that is easier for me.

I do think the spuat rivalry needs a break, and not because we are afraid or don't want to play them.  Although this is certainly how it would be viewed.

I lean more towards the balless wonder.

Have heard rumblings about wholesale changes to the divisional format.  Would go to 9 games and eliminate divisions altogether.  Would speed up the rotation of conference opponents, which would be nice especially since it went from eons between rotations to eternity with the addition of Mizz and A&M.

Cost vs benefit. Risk/reward. Ying/yang, etc.

I love the idea of picking back up the UT and Fla rivalries. Most of you old farts remember playing them and Ga tech every year, as I do. I was a mere toddler.

But I can't give up what is still the best rivalry game in sports to me, in exchange for those. But the path is certainly easier to ATL. Although ATL seems as distant as the moon right now.
