Tesla Model 3
« on: April 01, 2016, 10:59:44 AM »
So the new Tesla was unveiled last night on the West coast.  Looks interesting.  I like the out of the box thinking Tesla has been doing on a lot of fronts.  It will help push other industries to do some things....What I don't understand is who the fuck and why would you reserve one of these cars?

The earliest delivery date is a year and a half from now (and most think that is optimistic), and you have to put down a $1000.00 to reserve it.  As of this morning there have been 115,000 people reserve one either online or at one of their dealerships.  Let that sink in that is $1000 time 115,000.....For those with suspect math skills you are talking about 115 million dollars for just the right to buy a car that in a production sense does not exist yet.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

I heard it had seats of rich Corinthian leather, much like a moderately expensive sofa.  But if you want it, you have to pay somebody two McDoubles to put it in there.
