No battle.  He's educated and intelligent.  Respect his opinion.  Our life experiences are vastly different however so we see the world through different lenses.  I have reason to believe I'm unassailably correct.  I assume he does as well. 

He's not going to change my mind.   I have no expectations of changing his.  He would never vote for trump.  I would vote for a ferret with the mange before I'd vote for Hillary or Bernie.  I don't really like any of the options but this is the current state of politics. 

But the ability to present opposing viewpoints is vital to what makes this whole process work.

While I don't agree with Wes or K on all these things, they provide more substance in 1 post than prowler does in a year.  I respect their opinions even if I disagree because they at least provide good basis and I try to find common ground. And doing so is how shit gets done ultimately.
