Then he pulled the ads featuring the soft core porn actress.  I've never ever seen her on Showtime almost every night, so I have no idea who she is, really I don't, but I might have voted for him if he'd have manned up and kept her on the air.

And this is an issue that many people have with Cruz. Maybe not so much that he didn't "man up" but that he's so overly conservative and evangelical that he loses any sense of reason when trying to make sure he falls in line with the puritanical beliefs that he pushes.

Lose-lose situation.

You don't want to have someone in your presidential campaign that was in soft core porn.

And you can't fire that person when you find out because you're too evangelical.

I would have probably not aired the ad again and if someone find out, released some sort of quote disagreeing with the porn industry, but appreciating all supporters from all backgrounds...

Cruz is so beloved that his own State is voting against him...

That's going to leave a mark...

Our resident tejans will probably inform you that 2/3 editors of newspapers in very liberal cities do not represent the 78 bazillion people that state has. You may want to check some polls.

That said, I don't hate Kasich or Bush. I really don't want another bush but between him and trump? Yeah all day long. Bush would be better than a facist authoritarian dictator like the Orange Toupe

True, all inner cities are very liberal cause most of the city folk want their free hand out, while most of us outer folk work hard to give them that handout.

Therein lies the issue. It was the same sort of issue that brought about the "War of Northern Aggression".

The populated areas think they know what is best for the less populated areas. Just look at voting lines and how they stand today.

I for one, do not believe a city rat knows what life is. Why would I want their rules.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

What's funny to me is how poor, rural white people often vote against their own interests (under this "new" GOP) simply because of the "R" in front of the candidates' names.

Or maybe, some voters believe in work and not hand outs...

But honestly, the both can be said of voters on each side of the aisle.

Correct.

And which one candidate do you think those types on the right are overwhelming supporting per the polls? Hint: his hair is awful.

Rural white voters want to be left alone. It has always been this way. THAT is their own interest.

And yet they keep voting for Republicans that are trying to infiltrate all aspects of a person's personal life.  Odd.

Voting against entitlement.

There's an enormous difference between personal involvement and financial involvement.  Many people want a government that will be responsive to moral and ethical issues while leaving their wallets alone.  I have zero problem with the government saying "we can't tell you not to pray in school" and a big problem with government saying "your money has to go to causes like LGBT projects, etc."
