Thoughts On RB

If JR goes down, the alarm goes off. And he was injured part of last year. Roc has apparently been 3rd string for a reason. No way Carry-on is built to be the featured back in this offense. Aaaannnd a 4 star true freshman.

On the topic of injuries, Kerryon underwent shoulder surgery recently. He should be good to go for the spring and Roc Thomas injured himself making a bowl of cereal. Anyway, he's day by day now.

I guess if you hold one sites opinion worth more than another. He is still a composite 3 star. And is listed as the #1 FB by 3 of the 4 main services. So again guys.... Miller is projected as a H-Back/FB. He is NOT projected as a RB.

All the more reason to try and bring in a couple more for the position. Not just for next year but beyond. J. Robinson will be gone after next year and we're basically left with Roc and Carry-On.

However, I'm quite sure this staff is far more aware of that than I am.

Just saw on another site that the staff feels this season is extremely weak as far as RBs go. They have no plans to stretch for a RB they aren't SOLD on. Apparently they plan on taking 2 next season. I don't understand that logic. This could be one of many decisions CGM makes that could be his undoing.

Thats what I am seeing on other sites. And with a reported 40 time of 4.71, it still gives me concern.

We choose some head scratchers every season.
I suppose Miller was a man among boys in hs and too good to ignore or project on this level. Then again we once recruited a 4.6 wide receiver that eventually wowed as a LB on this level and beyond. And right now Pettway looks to be a true FB with the skills, only lacking reps bc dumbasses can't call plays in rhythm anymore. If Miller is a player, he will find the field in spite of our staff or at least that is the hope.
