5-star DE reaffirms commitment to Auburn

After some careful deliberation, Marlon Davidson announced on Wednesday he would remain committed to Auburn.

The five-star defensive end from Montgomery, Ala., was considering Alabama, UGA and Florida heading into the week of his announcement, but he ultimately decided to stick with the Tigers and coach Gus Malzahn.

Per 247Sports.com’s Keith Niebuhr, Davidson signed his financial aid agreement with Auburn Wednesday morning, thus granting the program unlimited contact with him throughout the NCAA recruiting dead period.

Davidson, the No. 16 overall prospect in this year’s class, is set to enroll at Auburn in January.
