Today al.com offers a "rare look inside Saban's headset chatter." Amazingly they have coaches in the booth looking for tendencies. Both offense and defense.

All the other coaches at all the other college and high school programs use those communication channels to order pizzas and talk about American Idol.

The other day they had a video: "Watch new signee put on a jersey."

Alabama doesn't lie. It's player stats are within an inch or so and a seven pounds or so from being accurate on multiple players.

Auburn lies. It's player stats are an inch or two off and three pounds different one one player.

Jake Coker is almost 6-5 and towers over all the other quarterbacks who are only 6-3 or 6-4.

I disagree with the second. The roster is pretty stacked with all the RS kids hitting the field to join the upperclassmen. There is plenty of talent on this team to win...and win big. I'll predict that none of the 2016 class will move the needle from a W/L perspective.

The answer to the first headline is: no. Their already stacked/processed roster will be the factor in their championship hopes.

AL.com hires the hackiest writers with the hackiest takes. I guess they know their readership, though.

I could only read about half before throwing up in my mouth a little. So, let's get this straight. It's somehow "negative recruiting" to tell a kid that Alabama has a number of top athletes at his position, while we don't have that same depth and you could see the field right off the bat? Heavy competition vs. Almost no competition. We need you. You can help us early.

Will rival schools stop at nothing? Yeah, that seems worthy of an article.
