Pre-Happy Turkey Day
« on: November 25, 2015, 09:26:40 AM »
Hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving tomorrow.  What's on the agenda?  You know Snags' plans have to involve an in-law or 10.  Headed over to the wife's parents...as usual....to shovel turkey, ham, sticky rice and gravy, turnip greens and hopefully some pecan pie and/or chocolate layer cake into my gullet. Wash it down with a gallon or two of sweet tea.  The FIL has a wood burning stove in the den, which he'll have stoked up to about 800 degrees so the combination of heat and excessive bloating from all the food, invariably causes a case of nodding in and out on the couch while trying to watch Detroit or Dallas play foosballz.

Snagette and her sister will be mapping out their route to attack the retail world on Black Friday.  Anyone traveling tomorrow?  Hanging with fam?

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

Got to go to lunch at my Dad's and then dinner at my In-laws.  I'll eat way too much food and then try to watch some football.  The Camthers are playing tomorrow, so that's the only game I'm going to try to watch.  Once the dinner is over, it's load everybody up and head to the hunting club.

Pretty much what you described.  At the in-laws, with both sides of the family coming though.  Turkey (dry and smoked), ham, mac and cheese, turnip greens, etc., etc., etc.  The wimmenz will be mapping out where they will be heading at 6:00 that day instead of just Black Friday.

The Thursday and Friday sales and mad dashes piss me off.

One day...just one fucking day to be with your family, to sit back and be thankful and reflect on shit - no matter your religion or lack thereof - and NOT do the crazy materialistic stuff we do on the other 364 days......and we STILL CANNOT do it.  Thanks retail stores of America. You ruin everything.

My family -- the one I chose anyway -- lives for Black Friday shopping.

I, too, enjoy it pretty hard. Mainly because I am with people I adore.

Since food has been mentioned, a quick note that has nothing to do with Thanksgiving.  Snagette made her world famous vegetable soup yesterday.  Lots of ground beef in there.  A few dashes of Frank's Hot Sauce for a little spice.  One of my top 5 dishes period.  I could eat her veggie soup twice a day for a month.

Cool food story, bro.  Carry on.

Hang with family in Destin. Turkey and stuff. I've got about 3 pounds of deer back strap and going to make stew. Celebrate 53 days sober. Yep I'm a quitter. It could all come crashing down during game tho. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
