Watched most of the second half. It basically disintegrated into Canty coming down and going one-on-one 90% of the time. He's such a talent but if your entire offense is a clear out for Canty to shoot whenever and wherever he pleases, then you get a loss like this.

But I guess the mentality is who the hell else do you go to with several guys sidelined? Tyler Harris is a nice player. Long with decent skills and moves well without the ball. As long as it's Canty running the entire show, he just needs to penetrate more and find Harris in open space. Did it a few times with success and Harris wound up with 20+.

Semenal Bowers? Don't know what he did in the first half but jeebus, son. You don't have to take off like a bull in a china shop every time you get a rebound. Find a guard and go play your position.

Don't know what the injury situation is as far as guys returning, but I still hold out hope that this club can make some noise with a full compliment of players.

Plus, a healthy ShamFlam Musahadein would really take some ball handling duties off these guys. If Canty was left to spot up more and take more shots in rhythm as opposed to creating one-on-one every trip down, he'd be off the charts.

I'm not a basketball expert like I am in football. But I can tell we're getting closer to legit SEC contenders.

SC is a better team but we play better in a few areas and we had a good chance.

Simply equaling them at the FT line would be a good start.

You can leave half of your team at home, shoot poorly from the field and at the line, but if you cross midcourt and just throw the fucker in the stands you aren't even making the other team work for anything. Turned the mfer off at halftime...too painful to watch.

When I realized they might be on, I flipped over to it. They were down 71-48. That 3 seconds was all I could stomach.

Disagree, unless you think Lawson's injury was the sole reason the FB team sucked.

Pearl is playing without a point guard. Canty either can't or won't run an offense. Everyone else is a big forward and they all think they have a green light to shoot (hell, they might since there isn't a point guard). The injury bug has decimated the (true) perimeter players.

Suffered through the entire Vanderbilt game from start to finish. Holy fuck, this team is a train wreck right now. Will someone please shoot Bowers in the temple? Have no words. This was Tony Barbee bad. And the problem is there's 10X the talent Barbee put on the floor. We can rationalize about injuries etc. But there's no excuse for how damn bad this team looks.

Agree that Bruce needs to be completely redesigning the offense to account for the available personnel instead of trying to fit the personnel into the scheme.

The most frustrating problem I see, and have been noticing for weeks, is they have no offense. They literally are not running any type of offensive sets. If Canty doesn't bring it down and go one-on-one, they make at most 3 passes and someone then goes one-on-one themselves. Occasionally, Canty will drive and dish but that's about as innovative as they get.

It's like they're just walking on the floor. "We got next".
