I haven't really watched ESPN since they started airing more trolls than highlights. I loved ESPN back in the 90s when it was funny one liners accompanying the best plays of the day/week.
I know that for the past five or so years, ESPN has been trying to jump on the SJW train. That pushed me away almost for good.
But last night I had the new SVP Sportscenter show on while I was getting some work done. I honestly couldn't figure out what the topic was. They were doing a "Bad Beat" segment, and I figured it was about a team losing badly to another team, maybe an upset or an embarrassing loss.
I was wrong. It was actually a long segment dedicated to teams covering or not covering the spread.
Is that what ESPN has resorted to? SJW topics and pandering to gamblers?
