The Justification Train
« on: September 21, 2015, 09:12:13 AM »
Oh. My. God.

I turned on WNSP while taking my daughter to school.

For about 15 minutes this is what I heard:

There's no reason to make a big deal out of people who left the game. You don't know what their situation was. It was very late.  They were leaving because it was late. The probably had a long drive and at 11:30 it was just time to go home.  Besides if you pay for your ticket or you have a ticket given to you, you can do whatever you want.  It's your choice. It's no different than people who get up at half time and go to the concession stand or bathroom. They're not in the seats then, watching the band....

That's right. I've done it. One time I left a game with about five minutes left because it was so late and I was going to be five hours getting to the hotel.  I missed a fantastic finish and I hated it, but I just had to go.

Caller: I was staying in Meridian. It didn't have nothing to do with Ole Miss scoring that touchdown to get ahead, we just looked at the time and realized we needed to get out ahead of the traffic so we wouldn't be so late getting to the hotel. That's all it was.

So to recap. The mass exodus after Ole Miss scored had nothing to do with the score itself, but was a function of people making sure they were home before they turned into pumpkins.

And then...

"I know what's wrong with Bammer. It's them rinky dink mickey mouse cards on the sidelines. I put this on Lane Kiffin.  Alabammer runs the ball, it don't try to throw the ball down the field.... "

I hate those fuckers.  And I despise the fact that the hosts of this shitacular show were making excuses and falling all over themselves to justify the flood to the exits.

I'm torn on this topic. I stayed, but I wanted to leave.  It sucked, it was pathetic to turn the ball over 5 fucking times.  I stayed, but I wanted to leave. I was pissed to see another damn play where the quarterback is running to the line of scrimmage with an offensive lineman 8 god damn yards down field blocking just to see him pull up and throw it at the last second. I'm tired of that fucking play.  I wanted to leave, but I stayed.

The problem wasn't how late it was, or how far I had to drive back home. The problem was the quaterback was consistently looking like he didnt have a fucking clue what he was doing. Consistently throwing to receivers who were running a completely different route. Picked twice because of that.  Looked like the worst prepared quarterback(s) that I've seen since Spencer Pennington a decade ago. Everytime I thought we had a chance to make it a game, the fucker turned it over again on a terrible, not even close to the area the receiver was in, bad throw.

But I stayed and watched the whole damn thing. Then I walked back to my truck at 12:45am and drove back to Gadsden. Shitty traffic, 4:00am when I got home.  And when I got home, I was pissed at myself for sitting through all of that bullshit.

The point I was trying to make was, I've sat through some shitty games before.  I've never thought about leaving....but I did a few times Saturday.  I'm not sure that I blame anyone for not wanting to sit through the bullshit we all sat through.  As a matter of fact, I applaud those who had the courage to leave knowing that Saban might have them killed before getting back to their car for even considering walking out on that shitty display of quarterbacking.

Actually the lineman was MAYBE 5 yds down field. Btu that was not the reason the CB abandoned the WR. Just a whine after the fact. That was a GREAT AU designed play.

Rally. If your semi-god Mactattoo wold have had a defender in his face all night long, the results would be the same.

Coker did OK for being told he was shit for the first half. Your coach thinks because his fans think he is a god, he can just change QBs before one of the biggest games of the year and it have no effect

Are you suggesting that a coach can only play the player he thinks is best for the position if the fans think he's a god?  Is that why Malzhan doesn't try someone else aside from JJ?  Because he isn't worshiped by his fan base?

Coker can't make his progressions from receiver to receiver.  He predetermines where he is going to throw the ball.  He has for 3 weeks.  Saturday looked much worse in person than it did on television, I'm sure.  I lost count of how many times OJ Howard was wide-fucking-open and Coker never even looked his way.  Coker looks lost.  Because Coker IS lost.  There is a reason Coker transferred to Alabama, and there is a reason why he couldn't beat out Sims last year.

I hope he gets better....but if he doesn't, I hope Saban continues to look at other players rather than forcing me to continue to watch shitty play just because he feels like it.

Isn't it shitty that we are in an actual disagreement over who has the shittier quarterback?

I don't care that people left.  Doesn't bother me.  I actually think it's funny to see people scramble for the exits with a bad case of the red ass.

What pissed me off was these two yodeling yahoos on the radio trying to play it off that the people leaving, the ones ESPN showed and commented on heading out early, they didn't leave because Alabama was getting manhandled by Ole Miss, they did it because they were tired and had a long drive.  It wasn't the score, it was just time to go.

Fifteen minutes of "no, no, it wouldn't have mattered if Alabama was winning or losing, it was just late and time for them to go home because they had kids and it was after 11:30"  Such fucking lame ass bullshit.

These are the same two yuck yucks who trashed Auburn fans for leaving in disgust during the A&M game in 2012.  That makes it worse.  Fuck them.
