Just four days remain until Auburn's SEC opener at LSU.

At approximately 11:15 a.m., Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn will address the media to discuss the big game. We will provide live updates in the space below, so refresh this page for the latest information.

GUS MALZAHN

* Malzahn calls LSU a "very tough opponent... That's a tough place to play." Praises LSU's physcality, speed and running game.

* Josh Holsey is out for the year with a torn ACL. All other injuries are "day to day."

* Malzahn says the team has to "find a way to overcome" all the injuries. "We're going to be counting on some young guys. The positive of that is you have a chance to grow and get better."

* Injury has been "tough" on Holsey. "He's struggling right now." Malzahn does not believe Holsey is one of the players who has loss of value insurance.

* Auburn had a good practice on Sunday. "You turn on the film against LSU and they'll get your attention in a hurry."

* In terms of confidence, Malzahn says the team knows it didn't play its best but plans to play a lot better.

* Malzahn continues to show confidence in quarterback Jeremy Johnson despite his five interceptions.

* Malzahn is "still learning" about the identity of the team. Would like to see more "explosive plays."

* Malzahn is waiting to see if Avery Young can play this week.

* Malzahn says Peyton Barber will start against LSU at running back. Jovon Robinson is questionable to play with his ankle.

* On LSU's Tiger Stadium: "Tough to place to play. They play extremely well at home. Been a while since we've won there at home. We need to protect the football. When you turn the football over, it make it difficult. Defensively we just have to get off the field on third down. We have to play well to win and our guys know that."

* Auburn will use the Wildcat formation this season. Wants to get Jason Smith more involved in the offense.

* On Kerryon Johnson: "He's finally back to being healthy. Getting the rust off. Says fans will see more of him in the future."

* WR Duke Williams has moved back inside in the slot, where he played last season. Needs to know all the positions.

* Malzahn on the defense: "The big focus for us is third downs."

* On LSU quarterback Brandon Harris: "You can tell he's more confident. He was in a very tough spot last year when he started here. He's got a very good arm."

It's a new week!  We are gonna beat LSU this weekend in the final quarter. Defense does well enough to hold Fournette.  JJ does his schizo thing but gets us in the endzone with 1:25 left on the clock, Lawson sacks LSU QB on final drive.....ballgame we win by 4.

Two or three years ago, I met Jason Smith Sr. at the Winn Dixie getting some fried chickerns, and he said in two or three years Jason Jr. (JJ) would lead us to victory over the corn dogs. True story.

Really though, these young men only have play 20 times as hard as they did against JSU to beat, or skate by, the corn dogs.

Obviously, Jason will be running the ball when he is in the wildcat position (although I would love to see him hit Duke in stride for six). Kind of like the Kodi Burns' daze. Miles will fail to recognize that, resulting clock mismanagement and we kick a field goal to win. Our freaking D slaps on some Hia Karate fifteen minutes before kickoff to WakeTFU. Also, CGM and CWM restrict all liberty until the corn dogs are crying. That is all.
