A white woman asked that the people who delivered the merchandise she bought not be black because she would be uncomfortable with them in her home.
Whatever her thought process, whatever her motivations she has an absolute right to deny access to her home to anyone for any reason.
"We have no tolerance for discrimination of any kind," Lowes spokesman Steve Salazar said in a statement.
Oh really? So no one who has any racial biases may shop at Lowes? Are they going to refuse service to anyone who appears to be prejudiced?
Lowes driver Black Marcus Bradley said he didn’t expect his employer to accept the customer’s demand.
“I mean, I thought that Lowe’s would take up for me,†he said.
Oh really? What is to "take up for"? You're a fucking shifty ass looking delivery driver with a lazy eye. You're going to get paid the same regardless. So go deliver to somebody else, accept the woman's wishes and move on with your shiftless fucking life. You've been a delivery driver for Lowes for eleven years. You've gotta install microwave ovens, custom kitchen deliveries. You gotta move those refrigerators, you gotta move those color T.V.'s. You shoulda learned to play the guitar. Fuckhole.
"To me, it just ain't right for a business that we work at to go along with the woman's wishes," white Lowes worker Alex Brooks said.
Oh really? Did they tell the woman they couldn't sell anything to her?
A reporter confronted the homeowner who instructed Lowe’s not to send a black employee to her home. Asked to explain her side of the story, she adamantly defended her actions. “I got a right to have whatever I want and that’s it,†she said.The woman, who declined to be identified, added that she had no regrets after making a white-driver-only request. “No, I don’t feel bad about nothing,†she said.
Damn right. She shouldn't feel bad. She's got a right to ask for whatever she wants.
This horseshitty response from Lowes makes me want to projectile vomit.
Diversity and inclusion is a core value at Lowe’s. The situation brought to our attention was troubling and an investigation was immediately undertaken. Under no circumstances should a discriminatory delivery request be honored as it is inconsistent with our diversity and inclusion core values and the request should have been refused. The investigation has concluded and the individuals involved are no longer with company.Fuck you, Lowes. What gives you the right to impose on the comfort and convenience of a customer? She didn't want black men in her house. Big fucking deal.
When I go to the spa, I don't want a dude massaging me. I don't want a black woman doing it either. That is my right. At what point will I lose the ability to request a female of a specific gender because I must follow somebody else's arbitrary "diversity and inclusion core values"?
This pisses me off to no end. Fuck Lowes. I've spent my last fucking dime in that shitbag of a store.
