Honestly, there is one major problem for him, one glaringly obvious hindrance....
He's too damn smart for politics

I could give too shits what color he is. This country needs this kind of mind and character leading her for 8 years. I have never really got into politics and I'm sure there is tons of stuff that I don't know but everything that I hear Ben Carson say makes me really want this guy to be President.

Playing Devil's Advocate here, but experience could be his hinderance. Last citizen to become President was Eisenhower which worked out ok but he had also been a general in WW2 and knew a shit ton about policy (economics and structure) and foreign policy specifically. The odds for a normal citizen to go straight to the WH are very slim. Other than that, I think hes a great guy.

I want to try to say this in a tactful manner but it's not an easy subject to broach. Experience isn't the only thing. Smarts have a lot too do with the qualifications two.

I mean, I've heard Carson talk, and he talks pretty good English but how smart could he really be?

Let's face it. The guy is black, o.k. There I said it. Now, I'm not afraid of his being black but I don't know that he's actually smart enough to get the job did.

I mean, he's a alright guy but I don't think he's no brain surgeon or anything, so he would need to prove how smart he is to me.

Now Trump on the other hand. Wow! That dude is smart. He inherited his father's real estate empire and went bankrupt. But, he never moved out of a mansion. Still owed all of those people money and still riding in limousines! And he's gone through a few model wives and stuff. Had a hit TV program. "You're Fired!" I love that show! Now there's a smart guy. Those are real president qualifications. And he's white. But race isn't a factor anymore.

I don't care what his qualifications are. Don't care if he went to school, didn't, was a politician, wasn't one, is white, black, green or purple.

He's outside the core group of candidates the media has decided are worthy of inclusion.

Hillary (send us to hell in a flaming handbasket full of aborted gay fetuses) Clinton
Jeb (how many more of these kids are there?) Bush
Donald (I'm here to entertain myself) Trump

That's who they want to see.

They'll give lip service to some of the others -- Walker included -- but they aren't going to get enough coverage to draw enough attention to make it.

We are STUPID as a whole. We have become a knee jerk society. TV tells us we are interested in women's soccer so people jizz all over themselves writing posts about it. Few REALLY care. Same with the Triple Crown, Bruce TransJenner, the Kardashians, Manny Paciao, and all this other bread and circus noise.

The same herd that votes on American Idol and those other shows will watch TV, see what's being force-fed to them and make vacuous decisions based on nothing more than "that Clinton woman stood by her man and she make some damn funny faces..."

This guy may be the answer. May be the brightest guy out there. But the brightest and best no longer go into politics. Or teaching.

With every passing day we become dumber and more poorly led.

Barring a significant change -- like maybe all the TV satellites going offline for a decade or two -- the road to ruin is wide open.
