That's why I say if we get Petrino, lock him in a rediculously high buyout, similar to what we did with CTT.  That way, if he does leave we'll have even more money to throw at a coach.  The only downside to that is that if he ends up being a bust, we're stuck with him.  I think that is highly unlikely as long as he has a strong DC, though.

5. Gary Pinkel: 110-71-3 at Toledo and Missouri.  Give him the players, facilities and backing...I think we'd be happy with the choice. 

I've been following Mizzou for a few years. They should have won a few more with Brad Smith at QB, but Pinkel is not a one hit wonder with this 2007 team. They have been building out there for a few years.

On a serious note, if what David is saying is correct and the EOTTC and the shills like Phillip Marshall are holding Auburn hostage for Tuberville, I say let him go.  I don't like Jay Jacobs and I don't always agree with Bobby Lowder, but fuck all the drama.  Hire Patrick Nix, put Kurt Crain in charge of the defense and fuck the fucking drama. 

I would second that. For all the bitching that I have done about Tubby being inconsistant, he has been of great benefit to Auburn. We don't see our players on COPS, grad rates are improving and we seemed to have turned the corner on the consistentsy issue. However, if it is true that Tubby is trying to leverage aTm against Auburn... I hope he enjoys following in Frans footsteps.

I think BSU is producing shit coaches.  Good for their conference...not good for ours.

DH took over a CU program that was a mess. This year the Buffs have shown glimmers of what to expect (OU upset and played KU very close) in the coming years. Once DH can recruit some solid classes, watch out...geez his 5'9" son is playing QB.
