State and federal authorities were searching the Indiana home of Subway spokesman Jared Fogle Tuesday, months after the former director of his charitable foundation was arrested in a child pornography case, Fox59 reported.

Fogle, 37, who became the sandwich chainâ€™s spokesman in 2000 after losing weight as a freshman at Indiana University by eating an all-Subway diet, lives in the Indianapolis suburb of Zionsville. Authorities did not say if Tuesdayâ€™s search warrants were connected to the arrest of his former associate.

The FBI and Indiana State Police were on the scene Tuesday morning. FBI spokeswoman Wendy Osborne confirmed that the agency was conducting a criminal investigation, but declined further comment.

The development comes two months after Russell Taylor, the former executive director of the Jared Foundation, which Fogle started to raise awareness to and combat childhood obesity, was arrested on federal child pornography charges. Taylor, 43, attempted suicide on May 6 at the Marion County Jail, and was placed on life support, but his health has improved, according to officials. He faces seven counts of production of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography in a case that began when a woman he had been emailing alerted authorities to Taylor's offer to show her images of children.

After Taylor's arrest Fogle issued a statement that said he was "shocked" over the allegations and that the foundation was "severing all ties" with Taylor.

Fogle, who once weighed 425 pounds but now maintains a weight of 190, has taped more than 300 commercials for the food chain. He makes appearances around the country on its behalf as well as giving speeches on the benefits of eating healthy. Early commercials featured Fogle slipping into the 62-inch waist pants he wore when he was obese, and before he began eating turkey and veggie subs exclusively at the Bloomington, Ind., Subway near the school's campus. His former roommate, Ryan Coleman, brought attention to Fogle's diet success in an article for the school newspaper that got the attention of the Milford, Conn.-based chain.

Subway spokesman Jared Fogle is expected to plead guilty to charges of possession of child pornography, Indianapolis' Fox 59, reported Tuesday.

According to Fox59, sources said that the pitchman will accept a plea deal on Wednesday and that the U.S. attorneyâ€™s office will hold a press conference Wednesday afternoon to discuss the charges and plea deal.

Fogleâ€™s attorney, Ron Elberger, had no comment when reached by Fox 59 regarding the reported deal, saying that any information regarding the charges would come from the U.S.attorneyâ€™s office. He did confirm that Fogleâ€™s suspension with Subway continues.

On Tuesday night, Subway tweeted, "We no longer have a relationship with Jared and have no further comment." It offered no other details.

Fogle, 37, who became the sandwich chainâ€™s spokesman in 2000 after losing weight as a freshman at Indiana University by eating an all-Subway diet, lives in the Indianapolis suburb of Zionsville. Investigators from the FBI, State Police and Postal Service last month searched Fogle's home, where an evidence truck was parked in the driveway, according to the Indianapolis Star. The newspaper reported at the time that electronics were taken from Fogle's home and analyzed in the truck.

The first thing that comes to mind when I see something like this how old were the kids in the pics. In my mind, if a girl is 17.9 years old, that's going to make it seem better although it's just as illegal. The day she turns 18, I guess he could've had all the nekkid pics he wanted on his computer.

Jared Fogle, the disgraced former Subway pitchman, was sentenced Thursday in federal court to more than 15 years on child porn and sex charges.

The sentencing came after Fogle pleaded guilty to child pornography and sex crime charges, telling the judge he understood that he will likely go to prison. Fogle agreed in August to plead guilty to one count each of travelling to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor and distribution and receipt of child pornography. The charges followed a July raid on his suburban Indianapolis home and the resulting criminal case destroyed his career with the sandwich restaurant chain.

Before entering his guilty plea during Thursday's hearing, U.S. District Judge Tanya Walton Pratt asked Fogle whether he understood the punishment he could face and he answered, "Yes, your honor. I do."

Fogle has admitted paying for sex with girls as young as 16 and receiving child pornography produced by Russell Taylor, the former executive director of The Jared Foundation, a nonprofit Fogle started to raise awareness and money to fight childhood obesity.

Authorities said Taylor secretly filmed 12 minors as they were nude, changing clothes, or engaged in other activities using hidden cameras in his Indianapolis-area residences to produce child pornography. Taylor has agreed to plead guilty to child exploitation and child pornography charges.

Prosecutors said in a sentencing memorandum filed last week that Fogle received photos or videos from Taylor of eight of those 12 youths, and that some of those images were of girls as young as 12. Fogle could have stopped Taylor from victimizing some of minors, prosecutors have said, but he instead encouraged Taylor to produce additional child pornography.

In the government's filing, prosecutors said "Fogle has sacrificed absolutely everything he had built -- including his family -- to engage in sexually explicit conduct with two minors. He emboldened a molester and a producer of child pornography."

Court documents detailing the charges against the 38-year-old father of two say that Fogle had sex at New York City hotels with two girls under age 18 -- one of whom was 16 at the time -- and paid them for that sex.

Fogle agreed to pay a total of $1.4 million to his 14 victims, with each getting $100,000. Before Fogle entered his guilty pleas Thursday, one of his attorneys told the judge that Fogle had paid 12 of the 14 victims and turned over the checks for the last two victims before the proceedings began.

Fogle became a Subway spokesman after shedding more than 200 pounds as a college student, in part by eating the chain's sandwiches.

Subway ended its relationship with Fogle after authorities raided his suburban Indianapolis home in July.

In their sentencing memorandum seeking a five-year prison term, Fogle's attorneys said he "is profoundly sorry for what he has done." They also wrote that Fogle suffers from "hypersexuality and alcohol abuse/dependence" and is committed to receiving treatment for his medical conditions.

In addition, Fogle's attorneys stressed that he never engaged in any sexual conduct with any of Taylor's minor victims and played no role in producing any of the images or videos recorded by Taylor.

Fogle's attorneys said in their sentencing memorandum that Fogle's offer to pay each victim restitution demonstrates "both the genuine remorse he feels and his commitment" to help his victims "move forward" with their lives.

As of last week, 11 of those victims had received their restitution and the three others should have arrangements in place to be paid by Fogle's sentencing hearing, Assistant U.S. Attorney Steven DeBrota said.
