So, I was going to post the story about the veteran in Huntsville who's trailer is being condemned, although it looks much nicer than places I lived in while in college, because he isn't up to code. He's living off the grid and I'm on his side. But, I saw this on al.com and had to post.

This is appalling. This is this man's dog and he's apparently in the privacy of his own home. Who's to say that he's not just teaching Buster a new trick?

This man lives in the Wiregrass and needs a lawyer who cares. One who can relate to massaging a dog's anal gland and privacy rights.

A Geneva man was arrested after reportedly having sex with his wife's dog.

Jonathan Edward Medley, 39, was taken into custody late Friday night and charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty, the Dothan Eagle reported. A cash bond was set at $535.

"He was mad at his wife because she paid more attention to the dog than him so he had sex with the dog," Geneva Police Capt. Ricky Morgan told the newspaper. "(His wife) actually thought he was having an affair with another woman and hid a recording device. She learned he was in fact molesting the dog."

WTVY reported the dog, which suffered injuries, is a two-year-old male Shih Tzu named Buster.

When you are living in a single wide and in the city limits, there are rules. You can't live in the thing for one (per the fine folks in H'Ville)....but you also can't dump raw sewage into the ground and power your house with your own homemade rigged battery supply system. Code/Rules are there for public safety protection. He isn't following them. You don't like em, don't move there. End of story.

Update: man is only being charged with a misdemeanor instead of a felony. I assume the difference depends on the depth of penetration into Buster and if the Shih Tzu wanted to press charges.

An Alabama man charged with bestiality may not have had sex with his wife's Shih Tzu after all, authorities say.

Geneva County District Attorney Kirke Adams told the Dothan Eagle that there's no evidence of any "torturous activity" being committed against the dog by Jonathan Medley, 39.

The dog, named Buster, was taken to a veterinarian for examination, and he was given a clean bill of health.

Medley is still charged with misdemeanor bestiality, but the case was transferred from the city of Geneva to the county.

Adams said there is probable cause Medley had some sexual contact with the dog, which warrants a bestiality charge and not a felony animal cruelty charge.

"We understand the public is outraged by this conduct, and are very upset that a misdemeanor offense is all that has been charged," he told the newspaper. "But what he has allegedly done only fits the misdemeanor."
