Good day for Auburn on the diamond. Girls are one of the last 4 standing in the country. Guys, big win today keeps them alive. Need 3 wins in a row to make the super regional. Hey, it's possible and it's a damn sight better than what we've seen the last few years.

It is indeed. I like our chances against CoC's #3 pitcher tomorrow. Taking 2 straight against the crab stealers will be tough.

The girls - God bless them - they have been a joy to watch! 56 wins is unbelievable. Coach Meyers has earned every cent we've paid him.

I'm playing golf -- best round I can remember, still under par after 15 holes -- so I can't watch.

Trying to stay up with it on the al.com live updates. It sucks so so badly having to see it through the eyes of raging Bama homer casagrande. He isn't even pretending to be objective it seems.

After two (almost 3) non-called K's in a row, nice to see the Auburn catcher tag the runner in the face for the DP at home. Florida just out-manned Auburn's all-girl team, their player-of-year fit the old softball stereotype and looked like a man among girls. They had another dude that didn't seem to do much - walked once, but had the advantage of starting every at-bat 2-0 (Snags wept)

The strike zone certainly seemed tighter on us late in the game. I don't think they are any better than us. We actually outhit them and had 2 less errors.

They are prob better base runners than us and I would imagine they are deeper in pitching. And our girls are better looking, so I will take that any day.

Not sure the winning run ever touched the plate. Even so, AU outplayed them in every category and just came up short. As far as next season, folks there's only two seniors on the entire roster.

Now the down side to that is I was hoping we would graduate everyone and suck next year....so I could stop following chick softball. It's a little disconcerting to realize you're jumping up and down like a school girl hollering, "GO BRANDI...GOOOOO......YEEEEESSSSSS."
