We need a power hitter something awful. The thing that pisses me off is the number of times we stand at the plate and take called 3rd strikes.

W.T. Benefield would have run us to death back in the day at Pell City for this.

I agree and I'm not saying we didn't screw our own pooch. We did. But in that situation....with that on the line...you can't make a call on a 3rd strike that a Major League umpire would be reprimanded for. That came within 2 inches of his thigh. It wasn't even a questionable pitch. It was a just stand up and say "Baaaalll" pitch. That ball needed binoculars to even see the plate from that distance.

Yeah, I'm pissed. It's your job to call pitches that either are or ARE NOT over the plate. He just wanted to hear the LSU fans roar and be the hero. Fuck him.

Bad calls and all I still think AU made mistakes that cost them the game. Too many damn errors.

We play the Gators today in the 2nd elimination game. It'll begin 1/2 hour after the bammer/Mizzourah game.

The same way I felt about him the night before against UK when they brought in this sidewinding reliever that threw nothing but worm-burners that never got above a batter's ankles. SteeeeeeRIKE TWO.....
