Okay, I'm going to be the first to admit that up until now, I couldn't give two frippity fracks about women's softball or most women's sports in general.  But, I've been paying more attention to AU softball this year because:

1. Kasey Cooper is kicking ass and I know her and her family.  The wife taught her in elementary school.

2. AU is one of the best teams in the nation.  See Pell City's stats above.  36-4 is off the chizzain in any league, in any sport, any time.  I take note and pull for the Tigers

3. I got nuthin...

Down here, we hear about Kasey Cooper all the time. I thought it was like, her, and everyone else.  Then I pulled up the team stats.  And yeah, Cooper is kicking it All Star style.  But....check out some of her team mates:

I watched the whole AU/UT game tonight.  Trust me, that was a first.  Props to the Lady Tigers.

The incredible stat is that over half of their wins (19 of 36) have been run rule decisions.

The only knock I've read against this team is they have shaky pitching. It seems to.be doing pretty well so far.

I was watching some of the Mizzou series and noticed we have some hotties out there in the O&B.  Usually, softball chicks are women only in the sense that they lack a natural penus (see the lady tide, for instance). Ours - and Mizzou's - actually looked like women.

Tennessee takes game 2 by a score of 8-6. The Lady Tigers went into the final inning down 8-4, and saw their rally fall just short. They left the bases loaded.

The loss drops them to 36-5 (9-2).

Auburn wins game 3, 12-9, and takes the series.

They are 37-5 (10-2).
