The 1996 AU-UGA four OT game was on this morning. 

I didn't know Kirby Smart was a Georgia DB in 1996.

I didn't know Will Muschamp was an Auburn Graduate Assistant in 1996.

I didn't know Derek Dooley was a GA for the Bulldogs in 1996

I didn't know UGA OC Mike Bobo was a Georgia QB in 1996

I forgot that was the game Robert Baker had to deal with a fat, rabid dog

I forgot that Hines Ward was a punk bitch

I forgot that we had a chance to close the game out in regulation.  Were at their 37 with about a minute left.  Punted on fourth and two.  Should have either tried a FG or just run a play.  They got the ball back at the 17 with 1:07.

Forgot how badly officials fucked us at the end.  Bobo sacked with less than ten seconds left, but the officials STOPPED THE FUCKING CLOCK, put time back on clock and gave him "forward progress" five yards ahead of where he went down.  Complete bullshit there.  You snap the ball with 17 seconds left, scramble 13 yards backward and get sacked?  You don't have another play unless the officials give you one.  Absolute fuckery.

I was on the 2nd row down in that corner where Ward scored the questionable TD. Very eerily similar to Murray's fantom TD in 2013 before the Miracle Catch. I believe we were also up like 28-3 at somepoint, or very similar. What a travesty.

I must have missed Dunlap as my eyes kept watching McFadden run down the field for touchdowns.

The team was also watching McFadden all game long as that bastard of an OC Malzahn called a fake field goal with a fucking midget that scored a touchdown.

Was that a fake fg? I was there too but I didn't remember it being a fg. I just remember seeing him crouched behind the OL and then seeing nothing but tail lights for what seemed to be over 50 yards.

Was at that game too.  Cold, cold, cold.  And yes, we got fricked by the refs as we normally do in a UGA game.  Murray's non TD last year.  Oh, ask Stan White about ref frickery. His anus was sore for weeks afterward.

The other bad part was I lucked into some tickets in the Nelson club level, to have those good of seats and to watch that abortion . From there you could see the back crouching behind the LOS.

I couldn't drag myself to the 11:00 game that weekend but, in hindsight, it turned out being one of the more well timed hangovers of my senior year. Seeing that little bastard hiding before the snap was clear as day from my couch.

Didn't Gus use that play a few times in 2010 with OMac as well?

Really?  That surprises me.  I figured you would have remembered those details.

We left our seats with Auburn up 28-7.  By the time we got to the gate on the other side of the stadium, Georgia scored to make it 28-21.  We left anyway.
Almost made it all the way back to Birmingham before the game was over.
