I do only hit Mickey's on a rare occasion and usually for breakfast.  Not because of diabetes but more the 800 fat grams per bite. But, in college, I used live off two things.  There was a time there (After a year of CDC pizzas....goot gawt) that I'd alternate every night between a quarter pounder with cheese, large fries and a coke....and  Wendy's double with cheese (Mayo, ketchup and mustard) large fries and a coke.

When you're a 20 year old college kid lifting weights and playing every sport under the sun and throwing the Frisbee, running the stairs at Beard Eaves and chasing pus....I mean the dog.....you don't really think about the fat content.  But then, when I was 20, nobody knew to worry about it.

Eating or dating in my case.

A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.' That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.'

That is why I only go to a place like that once every couple of months.  I feel like hell for the rest of the day.  Blood sugar decides it is going to go up to about 400-500 after a meal from one of those places.  How was your last A1C check?
Last 1 in June was 7.9. Down from over 13 in February. Cut out ALL alcohol through June and started run/walking 3 to 5 miles every other day. That did it. Then mothers health went severely down hill(she past in Sept.) and Lutz's death same day. Needless to say fine burbunz were back, and still are, in picture. Lots of it. I was mind fucked. Have another test next week. Looking over bg since then and probably back to at least 10. Back to drawing board.

Damn, get off that fine bourbon.  Although I am a good one to talk.  I cleaned a lot of my diet up and got mine back down to 5.5 (from 11.3) until he cut my meds back by 500mg/day.  I introduced bourbon back into my diet as a food group, instead of a treat and it shot back up to 7.8.  Pretty sure it's going to be the same if not worse this next time.  I am losing weight, not from effort though.  Doc said it's a side effect of having diabetes.  It can cause weight loss if your A1C's are too high.  I am in the process of getting my diet clean and slacking off the bourbon.  Get to re-introduce myself to the elliptical machine next week to see if I can't get this shit under control.   I feel your pain (although on a smaller scale), but I am back to the drawing board myself.

I went to McD's the other morning and the biscuit I got was suckarage but I didn't care. I expected as much. Kind of like watching Auburn play defense. I know it won't be good but can it be passable? I got what I paid for.

Am I the only one here whose hired servants prepare breakfast. I was not aware that I cavorted with so many poors.

I'm ashamed to say I know you.

You have to ask for it in the restroom.
