Muschamp Finished at Florida

He's a good one but I thought they loved him at ISU.

There are some rumblings, he did go 3-9 last year and finished next to last in the Big 12.  This year he is 2-7 with last place all but locked up unless he beats Texas Tech, TCU, WVU.

Why would Rhoades come back though?  I can't imagine his first experience was all that great. 

I like to picture these coaches as human beings.  Sort of like you and me.  Would you take a demotion to a job you held for a year and was fired from and in a small city you had no connections to?  Would you take that demotion when you could easily find another job someplace else?

I don't look at it like a demotion, you are going from somewhere you really can't win (and he hasn't) to the power conference. He comes and changes (let's say AU) our defense, makes us top ten again and that opens up new doors for him later on. Waiting on another HC gig after leaving ISU gives him few options. (IMO)

I half- jokingly threw Foley's name out on another thread as possible reasons for our recent struggles on offense.

Somebody tell me we have no reason for concern and kindly list the reasons.

Anybody bothered to see Gus's buyout? Would have to pay remaining amount on his contract here AND any of the assistants that aren't retained at Auburn by next HC. Could have to pay $20-$22 million JUST TO GET HIM then they have to pay him.

I loved his defense and I loved his style on the sideline.  A real old fashioned, lunch-pail guy that really cared about his players.  If someone can find it, there's a great clip after the infamous 3-2 victory over Miss State of him getting his defense riled up in celebration of the shut out.  I want to say you can read his lips saying, "Shut those motherfuckers out!" 

I'd love to have him back.
