If anyone watched Pearl on the set afterwards, you got the warm and frickin fuzzies.  I've been critical of this team all year and I stand by it.  They have sucked with the best of em'.  But, I'm always happy for an AU win and this was nice.  But after the season they've had and the way Pearl was talking like this was round 1 of March Madness....you know it's going to get better...much better.  It's going to take a couple of years and a little more patience, but what else have we got as AU basketball fans?  I'm 100% behind Pearl getting it done.  Love this guy.  Large amounts of man-love.

It's amazing how much better Auburn looked on offense and defense in the second half when Bowers was on the bench. I am not sure if he just got a big head early on or is trying to do way too much, but damn he really hurts this team when he is on the floor.

When I see Bowers rumbling up the court like an out-of-control rhinoceros it makes me cringe.  It can be a four on one break and I still know that it's going to end badly. It will crash and burn with some wild, twisting shot that caroms off the backboard to half court or deflate with some bazooka pass that knocks the recipient down or collapse in a stumble, fall and turnover that goes right to the opposition. 

On another note, I never saw so much as a score reported on al.com.  Won a tournament game over MSU and don't even get a mention.

I am hoping with the coaching up of Reed, this will be minimized for next year. Also, from what I remember, Pearl has a top 25 cruitn class this year. Has that ever happened at AU? Point is, with more talent means more competition. If Bowers is smart and wants to continue to play a lot, he will cut out the dump shit.

I've attended a few games and it's amazing what the TV doesn't show. When things aren't going Bowers way he doesn't hustle and he mopes around like a big titty baby.

Jacobs should start thinking about backboard reinforcement. I am stoked about Spencer and Purifoy. Added    to TJ Lang (who I think will be a great player) and also Reed, I'm seeing some fun times at Auburn Arena.

Watching Spencer's highlight reel reminds me so much of how WT used to slam it down on bitches so hard that sometimes, it would bounce off their head and come back up through the hoop.

They used to call me "Glider" because I could just take off from the top of the key and hang till I juked it down on a bitch.

Seriously though, I think he signs...or at least I hope so. Dude is a freakn beast.

Spencer got to see first-hand how he could make an early impact. He attended Auburn's final home game of the season, a game the Tigers lost to Georgia, 64-41.

"It made me mad that I couldn't play," Spencer said. "I wanted to play so bad. I saw that I could help with rebounding, with the short shots and being an inside presence on defense."

He'll get his shot at helping Auburn next season, and Spencer intends to take it. He's been committed to the Tigers since August and plans to stay that way until April 15.

That's when he can make it official.

"I don't have any doubts about signing with Auburn," Spencer said. "None. The first day I can sign is when I'm going to sign."

He'll report to campus a month later.

"(My academics) are good," Spencer said. "I'll be in Auburn on May 25."

Good gosh, I hope so.
