I thought Chizad's dream scenario would be jacking off to some weird global warming porn.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

In my dream scenario:

Auburn wins out, obviously. Including to Ole Miss, Georgia, and Bama on the road.

Bama loses to A&M this weekend. They rebound and beat UT convincingly, but then struggle against LSU but still end up squeaking out a win on some bullshit lucky interception in the end zone or something. Then they face MSU and get mauled. They're completely out of the SEC or playoff discussion, but hanging on to like a #20 ranking by the time Auburn gets to Tuscaloosa, and Auburn beats them by 3 TDs or more in front of a sea of crying Gumps. Bama drops completely out of the Top 25. Bammers call into Finebaum saying "PAAAWL, if we weren't playin for champeenships, we don't even wanna play. There weren't no reason to even try, PAAWWL. Tennessee's our real rival. We don't care about little brother." Bammers lose their shit and demand Kiffin's head on a platter, and lose faith in Saban almighty as well.

Meanwhile...

Ole Miss rolls through UT & LSU, but hit a brick wall against Auburn. We play lights out that game. One of our two or three best games of the year. Ole Miss rebounds against Arkansas, which brings us to the egg bowl...

MSU loses some of their momentum during this coming BYE week. Kentucky comes in and beats them up, but MSU narrowly pulls out a win. They go into Arkansas beaten up and end up dropping a game to ol' BERT. Maybe in overtime. The Egg Bowl and Iron Bowl, especially the Egg Bowl, combine for the most significance of all time. Auburn beats Bama at home convincingly in the 2:30 game. All comes down to the Egg Bowl prime time game. Auburn fans gritting their teeth pulling for Ole Miss. They end up pulling it out with a game winning TD with under a minute left on the clock.
Looking like I'm not a psychic, you guys.

I hope this is the one you get correct.

Was listening to Auburn beat reporter Joel Erickson comment on the Auburn offense and he pointed to Auburn getting muddled down with short and intermediate routes as the reason for our recent inconsistencies.
He followed by saying that Auburn was comfortable with the long game going forward and I let out a long gutteral silent scream.

I would think the guy is more attuned to what Lashlee and Malzahn have planned ahead being that he can bend their ears with some questions.
Erickson also mentioned that Roc Thomas would be sharing more of the load which many of us expected but bombing away is not how the majority of us wanted our offense to trend.

I'm good with taking a couple of shots deep every quarter but if we begin to struggle up front as has been the case the shorter routes are a nice alternative (one missed tackle away) and move the chains for first downs which is what Gus says he wants.

^^^Agree with the old geezer. And I might add, I believe that in order to add a more sound intermediate passing attack, I think that we will need to employ the 2 qb system. I had hoped that it wouldn't be necessary but its evident that it is, IMO.

Old Geezer thinks short game allows for both run game and deep game to excel by forcing opponents to cover our receivers with linebackers making their safeties and corners tackle our big receivers in the open field. This should compliment what we do as more of a finesse offense.

Holding on to the ball and not committing penalties at inopportune times is something all teams must guard against. It's lack of execution that keeps us behind the chains. But if we rely on the deep ball to bail us out when our offense sputters we will lose again.

Up until the State game we had averaged 19 passes per game and survived Kansas State. We attempted thirty five against State playing from behind as Prescott forced passes into coverage along the sidelines before they spotted no safety in the middle and finished us alternating between QB keepers and Robinson around end.

Don't necessarily agree that JJ is the answer for reasons of team chemistry. But as with penalties, the timing of such a decision is all important if you are to bench your team leader which I don't see happening except for injury.
I do think many of us feel JJ would be a welcome addition for several series as a change of pace that could keep things clicking...which brings me to genius play selection at just the right time. We don't have the offensive mentality where we can repeat successful run plays as we did with Trey Mason last season.
That's the play calling dilemma-repeat with whom, CAP or Nick? Because what we have till now is disjointed and frustrating to watch.

Corey Grant will see fewer touches.
What happened to Peyton Barber?
H-back is a term for we really don't throw to our TE nor do we have a true Fullback.
Roc Thomas is being rolled out in hopes that we can get those consistent bursts that move the chains.
