I'd have to say Louie was the worst host by far.  I can't even stand to look at him.


I'd definitely rank him above Al Boreland


He's not a smarmy douche like John O'Hurley, so I'd definitely place him ahead here


I'm not quite sure he's better than the Ray Combs, but that may be nostalgia talking because this is who I grew up watching


And let's not even compare him to the original, Sir Richard Dawson:


I'd place him between Ray Combs and before John O'Hurley.  That's a wide gap and I'd definitely put him closer to Combs than Hurley.

Dawson was the best. Maybe because he was the original.  Just like Johnny Carson.  Carson may not be some people's cup o' tea, especially for younger folks (Get off my lawn) who didn't grow up with the guy.  But for many, it's Carson and every other late night talk show host a distant second.

#1 I thought Combs was the best. It was the vivid personality. Which apparently was his manic state on air since he hung himself not long after he left the show.

#2 Dawson was a little over the top to me but a good host regardless.
