I was in NRG Stadium last night for the Corndog game against Whiskey. Chalk that one up to another Les Miles Miracle-Out-Of-The-Hat. LSU got their asses kicked on both sides of the ball by a good but not great Big 10 team. The Corndog play calling was unimaginative and pedestrian and predictable. Either Les forgot that a forward pass is legal in CFB or he doesn't yet have faith in his QB. The Corndogs around me were absolutely ready to string up Les and the entire offensive staff. Yes, they pulled out a miracle win thanks to some timely interceptions by their defense, but the mood leaving last night was VERY ugly, a lot uglier than you usually hear after a win.

Several of our SEC West foes are looking pretty vulnerable on this Sunday morning... I'm not getting excited yet, but... It could be another great year to be an Auburn Tiger.

Les seized a spectacular opportunity to stroll down memory lane revisiting his roots when he was a student athlete proving his mettle for Coach Shembechler and the mighty Big Blue faithful by acceping a heavyweight challenge to once again go toe to toe with one of the last of his kind that might appreciate the blood, sweat and utter sacrifice needed to grind out a victory against a most worthy and magnificent opponent.

Then again his starting QB might be nursing a sore shoulder.

Well written, that has to be the longest sentence I have ever read. Thank you for providing such an accurate description.

I penned it with the same conviction as Les would say it, looking past everyone for the monumental place in history of which it should eternally and rightfully occupy.

I thought that was Dinky's mentality. He said before their season opener that they "were going to take back what is rightfully theirs." Whatever that means? And do it with a sub-SEC caliber team and a pot-smoking OC.
