Motherfucking Game Week

It's finally here.

Some quality conference games to kick it off on Thursday and then...

It's time to cook some bacon.

Fuckin A.

You can keep a wooden stake in your trunk
On the off-chance that the fairy tales ain't bunk
And Imma keep a bottle of that funk
To get motel parking lot, balcony crunk.

I have looked at this game from several perspectives, broken down the game film and determined that yes, we are going to kick their ass.

Same here.  I've got a contract in Arkansas and deal with them regularly.  They haven't said much the last few years.  Out in full force at the moment.  All eggs in this basket.  All of them.

it sort of goes with the territory being defending SEC Champs and all but this thing with Fatback is far beyond that. Not sure why he has such a hard on for beating Auburn but it certainly seems like what you said is very true.

Does this mean that when Auburn wins, the Arkansas football season will be over?

Gus stands for the very thing he hates the most - HUNH.

Plus Gus is an Arky legend and they know they missed out. There is some butthurt there. Billemia probably hates the "Legend of Gus" in his own backyard.

So has anyone feel "it" yet?  I stepped outside this morning.  Cool breeze.  Blue skies.  Leaves rustling.  Faint smell of bbq.  I swear I felt a bit of a tingle in the...well, I don't know just yet.  Anyone else feel it?

It's Malzahn.  That's what sticks in Porky's craw.  For a couple of reasons.

1) He's got a brain the size of a peanut (and skin like the Chet turd monster in Weird Science).  His tiny brain likes football the old way.  You run for three yards, huddle up to catch your breath and run for three more.  He doesn't respect Malzahn's way at all.  It's not football. He thinks it's bullshit.  He also thinks the West Coast offense is bullshit. The pistol is bullshit. His way is real football.

2) He knows he was second choice at Arkansas. He knows there is still a very large contingent of people there who wish they had been able to lure Malzahn back. People who resent Houston Nutt for ruining that. People who still think Arkansas is a better job than Auburn and there's still a chance they could get him to come back.  He is bound and determined to prove to those people that he's a better coach than Gus. Wants to dismantle him and his mythos.

3) He's not sure he could whip Gus' ass in hand to hand combat.  He knows he could punch out Saban just due to bulk. He's pretty sure he could get Les miles to the ground and take him down. Doesn't fear Richt (too small), Spurrier (too old but feisty), Pinkel (might be gay), Mullen (too ugly), Freeze (too buck-toothed), Jones (too soft) or anybody at Vandy or Kentucky.  But Malzahn?  Big, tall rangy guy like Gus might give Jabba fits.  You see he's outkicked his coverage and is worried about keeping that cooze at home. He sizes up every man he perceives as a threat in terms of whether he could fight him off Jen.  If Malzahn wins, that diminishes him and makes it more likely that Jen will climb under a real winner and leave his greasy, fat wheezing loving behind.

4) He's a dumb ox.

It's interesting to me to see how the Arkansas fans have turned on Malzahn.  When we first hired him after our abortion of a season all I heard was that he was a great hire and how much they respected Malzahn.  He's have us back fighting in no time...

Now just a year later they hate him.  He has no class.  He's the second coming of Richt - a coach who tries to maintain a clean-cut image but coaches a bunch of thugs and lets them get away with murder.  He plays a sissy brand of football.  They are convinced that they are going to do this season what we did last season.  It's almost cultish the way they all parrot the same talking points.

Quote
It's game week, and that means it's time for predictions of the SEC West showdown between Arkansas and Auburn this Saturday at 3 p.m. central.

HawgSports.com thought it'd be a fun idea to give recruits and others a chance to share their opinion on the game, so we reached out to a number of Arkansas commits, Auburn commits, and those who are either neutral or undecided between the two. Here are their predictions:

Arkansas commits
Storey and the rest of Arkansas' commits picked the Hogs to upset Auburn
Ty Storey: Arkansas, 34-31
Rawleigh Williams: Arkansas, 27-21
Zach Rogers: Arkansas, 31-27
Jordan Jones: Arkansas, 24-21
Blake Johnson: Arkansas, 27-24
Deon Stewart: Arkansas, 34-26

No surprise here. Even though the Razorbacks are considered huge underdogs, all of their commits are on board with the idea of Arkansas shocking the world of college football in Week 1.

Auburn commits

Kerryon Johnson: Auburn, 31-14
Elijah Sullivan: Auburn, 28-10
Tyler Queen: Auburn, 34-14
Kaleb Kim: Auburn, 38-17
Marquel Harrell: Auburn, 42-17
Chandler Cox: Auburn, 42-14

One Auburn commit actually replied with a prediction of Auburn 100, Arkansas 3. The rest seem quite a bit more realistic, but none of the six Auburn commits listed here believe the game will be all that close.

Other Predictions

Rivals.com Recruiting Analyst Jason Howell: Auburn, 38-14
Former Razorback Matt Jones, 103.7 The Buzz: Auburn, 37-24
Country artist/HawgSports member Joe Nichols: Arkansas, 28-27
Four-star TE Will Gragg: Arkansas, 30-27
Four-star WR K.J. Hill: Auburn, 37-24
2016 four-star DE McTelvin Agim: Auburn, 35-14
Five-star OL Chuma Edoga: Auburn, 38-17
Stanford OL commit Jack Dreyer: Auburn, 42-20
Mississippi State OL commit Harrison Moon: Auburn, 28-14
Texas A&M commit Roney Elam: Auburn, 34-21
Nebraska commit Kendall Bussey: Auburn, 31-17
Vanderbilt commit Ean Pfeifer: Auburn, 45-14
BYU commit Kody Wilstead: Auburn, 28-24
Alabama commit Hale Hentges: Auburn, 42-17
California commit Malik Psalms: Auburn, 28-21
2017 Arkansas target Baron Browning: Auburn 34-10
2016 quarterback Kasey Ford: Auburn, 35-24

NOTE: Matt Jones wants it known that he's pulling for Arkansas to beat Auburn and everyone else on the schedule.

Out of 22 individuals who aren't committed to the Razorbacks, 20 of them went with Auburn to win the game (by an average margin of 18.6 points).
I MUST KNOW THE NAME OF THE KID THAT PICKED 100-3 SO THAT I CAN BUY HIS JERSEY!
