Under Armour announced  Friday it planned to show football fans Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton "like you've never seen him before." The sporting goods company released the trailer for a five-part video series called "Huddle Up" that will start on Aug. 5.

The winner of Auburn's third Heisman Trophy endorses Under Armour products

Under Armour's description of the series says, "This is Cam Newton -- all-access, unfiltered, in his voice. 'Huddle Up' is an online series that delivers an inside look at the experiences and people who have shaped Cam. From the events that almost derailed his college career to his passion for coaching his 7v7 All-Star team to the recent ankle surgery and rehab he fights through to be ready for this season, get to know the Cam you don't see on Sundays."

The trailer is mainly footage of Newton working out, but the montage also includes a few scenes from Auburn, including the quarterback tackling classwork.

In the trailer, Newton says: "A lot of people are questioning me. Can I do it? It's no more 'My fault.' It's no more 'My bad.' That skin is already shed. The wrath of God is going to have to stop me before I give up. I do not hope to win. I do not hope to make a difference. I expect to do all that."

Newton has been in training camp with the Panthers for a week. He had ankle surgery on March 19 and missed most of the work during Carolina's OTAs and minicamp.

"I can't stress enough that I'm not 100 percent yet," Newton told reporters after Carolina held its first training-camp practice in front of a crowd of 36,315 at the team's annual Fan Fest on Friday night. "It's just going to take treatment and time."

Newton went to the Pro Bowl for the second time in his three seasons last year, when he led the Panthers to the NFC South title. The top four receivers from last year's squad have signed with other teams, and starting offensive linemen Jordan Gross and Travelle Wharton retired during the offseason.

One of Carolina's new receivers, Birmingham's Jerricho Cotchery, said he likes what he's seen from Newton as the Panthers work through the transition.

"Great leader. Great leader,'' Cotchery told espn.com. "Just watching him and the way he led that team to a championship that year, I just knew there was something special about him. When I met him, I got to see that.''

The Panthers start their preseason schedule on Aug. 8, when they host the Buffalo Bills.

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."
