Just an observation. It seems to me that everything coming out of Media Days this year has an Auburn twist to it.  So far, I've seen motivation/revenge pieces on Miss. State, Georgia and Alabama, saying the way those games with Auburn ended gives those teams a lift coming into the season and they can't wait to get AU again.  There's an article right now up on al. I am a gay twerker that has no balls!!!!  I also have no idea how to use the quote function to post stories, so I annoy the piss out of others.  I like male genatalia in and around my mouth. asking defenders around the league if they can stop Auburn's offense.  Stoops at UK is saying Auburn's turnaround gives his team hope they can do the same. (Hey Coach.....you're Kentucky.  But I get it)

I know the media's prediction was for Bama to win the West and the league this year but the consensus is that it's down to us and themz.  I know we're the defending champs but it's not surprising.  I do think we're going to have to at least contend down to the very end before the college football world really accepts that we're here to stay.  If you weren't an AU fan, what would you think of us?  The "luck" is going to run out?  No matter, it's good to be back in the conversation again.  Good to see numerous guys on preseason All-SEC lists and national award watch lists.  Great to be in the mix for the top recruiting talent out there.  It's nice to have the target on our backs again and not rationalize everything by saying, "That's okay, I like being the underdog."

I have no idea how this season will turn out.  I sux at teh predictions as is evidenced by my consistent finishes in the lower, middle tier of the bottom of the BFTC contest.  I do know the schedule is brutal. I'm just stoked to know we have a team back as a player on the national landscape and one that we know for a fact can straight up bitch slap anybody in the country on any given day. That's enough for me.

Sick of the damn luck excuse by other teams' fans.

There was ONE...exactly ONE piece of luck we got at the end of the year and that was the tipped pass against THUGA. And the only reason THAT piece of luck even needed to happen was because Uga had a little (lot really) luck of their own even being in the game. They had no business having a close game in that one and were thoroughly dominated most of the game.

If anything Auburn had more luck go against them all of last year if you want to keep a running tally.


You could argue for:

The terrible weather and awful fluke start against LSU in Baton Rouge
Aaron Murray's fantom TD
FSU's fake punt (rare that one is sucessful)
FSU's 100 yard run back (another pretty rare thing to bail a team out)

Oh I agree 100% on the luck thing.  My argument is always "I guess the 37 points and 500 yards of offense we had BEFORE that play was all luck too."

Certainly...those are just the ones that came to mind immediately.

Im just sick of hearing the same tired line about luck over and over. Mainly seems to come from the Bull pups right here on the state line. Butt hurt bunch of mutts.

We are prepared each and every game by a top notch staff. I feel more confident about our chances than in any period of Auburn football, even in areas where we seem to lack such as the secondary or where we could end up filling a position by committee such as at running back. And when a game is on the line I fully expect us to execute the plays and win. What I want us to do is eliminate the second half lulls as in UGA and FSU.
