Quote
As Malzahn heads into this spring, his situation is not so different from his predecessor's three years earlier. Auburn is coming off an appearance in the BCS title game, but there were still questions about leadership, questions about off-the-field incidents and the big question as to whether the Tigers can handle expectations.
--Greg Ostendorf, ESPN.

Say what?

Off field incidents?  At Georgia. At Alabama. At other schools.  Has Auburn even had one, with the exception of a recruit who hadn't even made it to campus being charged with something (and said charges dismissed)?

Questions about leadership? From whom?  We bring back 90% of the team including leaders on offense and defense.  Biggest talent return I've ever seen.

I don't get it. He makes a blanket statement like that and then offers nothing else in support. Idiot.

Some facts about Greg Ostendorf:

Covers Auburn and the SEC.
Joined ESPN in 2012.
Graduate of the University of Alabama

Isn't this the same guy who worked for TideSports.com and then Rivals where he honked on Saban's bobo non-stop?  This is our ESPN writer?

At what point are we going to admit the bias and force change?

This is like a joke of a story or a joke of a writer. Maybe he had delusional "questions" about the team discipline, etc but any real journalist would research enough about AU to know those questions were answered soon after the plane landed with Gus on board.

Maybe he's just pissed cuz his name is Ostendorf.

I've never heard of him.

But I think ESPN's all aboard the Alabama train.  Someone up there is an Alabama grad or Alabama fan or someone up there is getting paid a fuckton of money by Alabama people to do this.

Hell, Finebaum's show didn't change one bit.  It is a nationally syndicated Alabama Crimson Tide sports show.  He's also called the voice of the SEC and will be featured often on the SEC Network.

I listened today expecting some discussion about Bruce Pearl at Auburn.  For the thirty minutes I listened, it was nothing but "Why didn't Alabama get him?"  He also outright stated that if Alabama had fired Anthony Grant, Pearl would never have even considered Auburn.  Auburn was an afterthought once Grant was kept on.  That's the voice of the SEC talking to you.

Fuck ESPN.

Sounds like someone should plug in the NTYF symbol and light up the sky with it...maybe have them dig deep into RECspn and their number of uat grads and how they're usually wrong.
