Pretty crazy shit.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2030588/Father-beheaded-disabled-son-kitchen-sink-executed-hes-indicted-degree-murder.html

Quote
The 30-year-old Louisiana man who allegedly confessed to beheading his disabled 7-year-old son has been indicted on a charge of first-degree murder.

Jeremiah Wright's son Jori Lirette was brutally killed last week. The wheelchair-bound boy was dismembered and his head was set in the yard of their home for his mother to see when she arrived home.

Defense attorney Kerry Cuccia confirmed that a Lafourche Parish grand jury handed up the indictment Friday morning against Wright.

Cuccia said Wright, who is being held in the Lafourche Parish jail on $5 million bond, is set for arraignment Monday.

If convicted of first-degree murder, Wright would face a sentence of either life in prison or execution.

Asked how Wright will plead to the charges, Cuccia said a decision had not yet been made.

The boy's mother Jesslyn, 27, has said she previously warned police that Jeremiah wanted him dead.

Wheelchair-bound Jori was brutally executed and dismembered after his mother Jesslyn, 27, threatened to kick long time boyfriend Jeremiah out of their Louisiana home.

She has revealed that, the week before Jori was born, she obtained a restraining order against Wright after he 'broke the baby's piggy bank' and 'shoved her onto a pile of CDs on the bed'.

Then, when Jori was just six-months-old, she obtained another similar order after he called her and said he 'was tired of seeing the baby suffer' and wanted him dead.

. . .

Jori was wheelchair-bound and needed a feeding tube having been born with cerebral palsy. He had been born three months prematurely and spent much of his first year in hospital in New Orleans.

Wright allegedly chopped his son's head off with a meat cleaver and left it in the roadside outside his home so that Jesslyn would see it.

A passing motorist saw the decapitated head and alerted police. Detectives later found the boy's body in a rubbish sack that had been dumped nearby.

. . .

Thibodaux Police Lt. Kim Favalora said in a statement to the court that: 'Wright was very matter-of-fact as he calmly explained that he thought for years that Jori was his son.

'Wright said that he recently saw the way the dummy looked at him and there were signs and little things the dummy did to him that let him know that Jori was not his son, but a dummy.'

Favalora said Wright told police that 'he was tired of taking care of the dummy. Wright said that as soon as he realized that Jori was a dummy, and not his son, he 'started contemplating on killing him.'

The document said Wright admitted to arguing with Jesslyn the previous night and that he expected to be kicked out of the house.

. . .

Wright, whose criminal history includes arrests for drugs, burglary and contempt, is being held on $5 million bond and could face the death penalty if convicted of first-degree murder.

The murder has sent shock waves through the small town of Thibodaux, where the last killing was three years ago.

Didn't realize that article was from 2011.  It apparently popped up in the news feed because his trial was held recently, in which he was found not guilty due to insanity.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2559816/Father-hacked-disabled-sons-head-left-road-mom-ruled-insane-not-guilty-murder.html

Quote
A father accused of hacking his disabled seven year-old son's head off with a meat cleaver and leaving it by the road for the boy's mother to see has been ruled not guilty of murder by reason of insanity.

Defense experts have successfully proven that Jeremiah Wright, 32, from Louisiana, was suffering a delusion at the time of the brutal murder of Jori Lirette, who suffered from cerebral palsy.

Wright was charged with the first degree murder of the little boy on August 14, 2011, and faced life in prison or death by lethal injection if convicted.

Expert witnesses Dr. Sarah DeLand, a director at the mental facility that treated Wright, and psychiatrist George Seiden of Shreveport, said Wright suffered from a psychotic disorder at the time of the incident, couldn't tell right from wrong and believed his son was 'a CPR dummy'.

They testified that Wright thought his son was really a government social experiment and told them: 'I don't believe they can do anything to me because it wasn't a real person. His skull was made of plastic. He had foam in him.'

. . .

Judge John LeBlanc of Thibodaux told a court on Friday that Wright will be sent to a state mental hospital in Jackson that is often used to house criminals who have either been charged with a violent crime or have been ruled not guilty by reason of insanity, according to Houma Today.

The judge said he based his ruling off doctors' consistent evaluations that indicate Wright has long been mentally ill and, as a result, believed the world around him was not real.

'Nothing has really changed in regard to the interviews that said Mr. Wright suffered from a mental disorder during the time of the incident and that this psychotic disorder existed prior to the incident,' LeBlanc said during the hearing.

'He couldn't understand the difference between right and wrong and he still suffers the same delusions and disorders today.'

From the bench, LeBlanc spoke directly to Jori Lirette's family members.

'This was absolutely the only decision that could be made based on the medical history and testimony in the court,' the judge said.

'It is not a good day for you, it is not a good day for anyone involved, but it is a day we must all face because it is the only decision that could be rendered in this case.'

Ever see Primal Fear?

But in reality, the guy isn't going to walk around your neighborhood because he was declared insane.  He'll be in a mental institution for a long, long time.

Oh! he crazy as hell, no doubt.

That is some brutal shit right there. The part that lets me know he had a bit of evil sanity is that he put the head in the front yard so she could see it!

This guy does not need to be incarcerated at any level.

I don't know what's wrong with people today.  In the old days, if your kid gave you some crap, a good beheading did the trick.  Don't know how many times my dad pulled out his machete and told me if I didn't straighten up...

Now, kids think they're entitled to keep their heads.  Some politically correct asshole goes and calls the cops every time a parent tries to instill a little discipline in his kid.  Makes me sick.

I'm sorry that family didn't get justice.

This is one of those times I don't give a fuck if he knew what he was doing or not. If he really truly didn't, and still doesn't....he won't know or mind when they stick the needle in him.
