Unfortunately, a lot of people can't see this.  People forget that these are kids, they will do dumb shit, and it sometimes just boils down to who they are hanging out with.

Ice cream it is then!

Auburn signee Kalvaraz Bessent has been reportedly cleared of all charges stemming from his arrest last week, according to AL.com.

“After meeting with the state attorney’s office yesterday, we are pleased to hear the state has decided there was no evidence to support the charges against Kalvaraz,” attorney Travis A. Reinhold told AL.com late Friday. “All charges have been dropped. From the beginning of this ordeal, Kalvaraz maintained he had no involvement in the alleged conduct and he is looking forward to graduating from Camden County (Ga.) High School and attending Auburn University.”

Bessent was arrested on two felony charges stemming from possession of marijuana over 20 grams and possession with intent. One of the passengers in the motor vehicle indicated to police a loaded handgun found in the car and the 340 grams of marijuana did not belong to Bessent.

Lawyer: All charges against Auburn signee Kalvaraz Bessent dropped

AUBURN, Alabama -- Auburn football signee Kalvaraz Bessent's attorney says the cornerback's name has been cleared and all charges stemming from a drug arrest last week have been dropped.

Bessent and three others were charged with two felony charges stemming from possession of marijuana over 20 grams and possession with intent to distribute following a traffic stop Feb. 7 in Nassau County, Fla. They were also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia for a scale found under the front passenger seat.

"After meeting with the state attorney's office yesterday, we are pleased to hear the state has decided there was no evidence to support the charges against Kalvaraz," attorney Travis A. Reinhold told AL.com late Friday. "All charges have been dropped. From the beginning of this ordeal, Kalvaraz maintained he had no involvement in the alleged conduct and he is looking forward to graduating from Camden County (Ga.) High School and attending Auburn University."

A representative with the Florida state attorney's office declined comment when reached by AL.com Friday and said the case is "still active."

One of the passengers in the vehicle indicated to police the 340 grams of marijuana and a loaded handgun found in the car did not belong to Bessent, according to the Brunswick (Ga.) News.

Bessent broke his silence concerning the arrest Friday on Twitter.

"Thanks to all my AU family that stuck with me through this see you guys at Auburn War Eagle!!!"

Bessent's father, Timothy, said he expects his son to enroll at Auburn in May, according to a Facebook message. Auburn officials have not commented on the latest development, which comes on the same day junior college cornerback Joseph Turner signed a letter of intent to play for the Tigers.

Bessent, a four-star cornerback out of Camden County (Ga.), signed with Auburn on Feb. 5.

The Nassau County (Fla.) Sheriff's Department released an incident report Thursday to the Brunswick News. AL.com requested a copy and further details surrounding the investigation, but the sheriff's office has not fulfilled the request. An official at the sheriff's office said they are unable to confirm whether Bessent's chargers were dropped.

The 16-year-old juvenile in the backseat claimed ownership of the vehicle and told investigators the marijuana belonged to the 21-year-old driver, Elbert Thornton, and Artez Ward, 19, of Jacksonville. The juvenile also told police the loaded handgun found underneath the right front passenger seat belonged to Ward.

An initial police report obtained by AL.com suggested the handgun, which was wrapped in a T-shirt, was "placed in such a way that only Mr. Bessent could have placed it there." The report was filed Feb. 8, five hours following the traffic stop Feb. 7 at 10:13 p.m. on U.S. 1 in Callahan, Fla. The vehicle was traveling 58 mph in a 45 mph zone. A deputy said he could smell burnt marijuana when he approached the car. A field test revealed positive results for THC.

Police say they discovered 340 grams of marijuana in four bags underneath the front seats of the 2007 Dodge Charger, including 202.5 grams underneath the right passenger seat, Nassau County sheriff Bill Leeper said Tuesday. A scale was found underneath the front right passenger seat in which Bessent was sitting.

Brass knuckles were also found in the vehicle.

The incident report listed an additional charge of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, but there is no name attached to the charge, according to the Brunswick News.

Leeper told AL.com Tuesday the handgun was being tested for DNA and fingerprints and that it would take "several weeks" before results are known.

Bessent could help the Tigers at boundary cornerback if Auburn honors his letter of intent to play for the Tigers. Chris Davis graduated and left an open spot in the secondary for Bessent and others to potentially grab.

"Very athletic," Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said Feb. 5. "(Cornerbacks) coach (Melvin) Smith identified him as one of the top corners early on, and he hung in there, kept recruiting him, and we really felt like we got a guy that can help us immediately. He's got very good ball skills, and a very good cover guy."

Please allow me to speak for all of us when I say F-U-C-K al.com, Brandon Marcello and anyone associated with them or their organization. I wish bankruptcy and personal ruin on all.

"His lawyer says all the charges were dropped, but WE haven't finished investigating!! We are al.com, bitches. "

"Handgun placed in only a way Bessent could have" UNLESS OTHER PEOPLE HAD BEEN IN THE CAR SITTING IN THAT SEAT AT ANOTHER TIME.  Assholes.

"A scale was found underneath the seat in which Bessent was sitting."  Well you got him there, al.com/Perry F**king Mason. Nobody else ever sat in that seat.  There's a box cutter and an unmarked porno DVD in a plain case in the holding box under the seat of my truck.  When my three-year old niece rides with me to the store, I guess that means the box cutter and DVD are hers and she put them there.  Idiots.

I figured I gave y'all enough of a heads up on Turner. I figured he would commit and sign once Auburn offered, which they did, right before he boarded the plane to Cali...minus a few detours, apparently planes are built nowadays with fuel cells slightly bigger than the Ford Pinto.
