Yeah.  I thought he should have played it safe in the first run, (hell he scored a 95 in qualifying) then if he needed it go for it all in the second.  He was Peyton Manning last night.

Yeah apparently you have never watched it. Agree with not caring a bout Shaun White, but the sport is awesome.  Have you ever tried to snowboard? If you can even go up or down a pipe, hell I'll let you do it on a skateboard, if you can stay on the board without falling.... then you can say something about it.

that qualifying score though high would have not been a 95 in the finals.  maybe a high 80's.  he had to go big.

it was a shame but he's dominated the sport for so long and iPod brought it.

I realize, still didn't think he needed to go YOLO on first run though.  Should have done a solid first run then if needed tried for YOLO in the second.  I think the judges wanted to give it to him.

To bad Jumbo didn't make the trip, he would have won gold by a landslide.
