Alabama linebacker Xzavier Dickson and running back Alvin Kamara are suspended for the Sugar Bowl.

In a brief statement, Alabama coach Nick Saban announced the suspensions after Thursday's practice. Saban, who will next speak with reporters Sunday, did not specify whether the players would practice over the next weeks.

Since August, Saban has suspended eight players for various transgressions. Defensive end LaMichael Fanning is the only player who has yet to return from his punishment.

Other than Ricky Parks I can't recall another player for Auburn under Gus to step out of line.

I'd expect there to be more suspensions and dismissals for Gus as it's his first year, and he needed to get rid of Chizik's trash.  These are all Saban's recruits that have been in his program.  Looks like quite a few of them are starting to not care, and most of them are guys that filling the depth chart.

Prime example is last week when Lord Saybinz agreed to an extension. It dominated the news and on al.
