Just an al.kum copy/pasta heads up for this weekend's game.
Auburn's return to action on Saturday against Ole Miss will also represent the Tigers' now-annual day celebrating the military. Auburn has scheduled Military Appreciation Day for Saturday, scheduling a flyover with the Black Diamond jet team flying Aero L-39 Albatross Jets. But the flyover will be only the most visible of several measures taken to honor the military.
Auburn's coaching staff will wear a military appreciation patch on the sleeve of their shirts Saturday, and the Tigers will wear a special Auburn military appreciation shirt during a Tiger Walk led by Auburn's ROTC members. Before the game, the team captains will be joined by four Wounded Warriors, the band will play a military-themed halftime show and Auburn plans to recognize several veterans at various points during the game.
In addition, several displays of military vehicles and shelters will be present on campus, and Auburn has partnered with Gameday for Heroes, an organization that helps veterans and their families attend games, to distribute tickets to active military and veterans. Fans can purchase tickets for veterans or donate unused tickets to GameDay for Heroes.
