I honestly don't know how Bama was caught cheating and was almost given the death penalty. I also don't know how Bama football was a fucking joke from 2000 until 2008.

Whatchu talking 'bout?

The things is you ain't gotta own something to manipulate it to your benefit. All it takes is having the right people in the right places.

Right, it's just a huge coincidence that when Alabama was going 4-9 and losing 18 straight to Auburn, the media and NCAA didnt mind slapping Alabama around. Saban gets hired, media designates hour long segments solely to trash Alabama and Saban. Then after Saban wins a few games, the REC is able to get a major player in nearly every major media source who refuse to say a single bad thing about Alabama.....And are now generating stories about Johnny Football so he'll be suspended before the Alabama game.  Meanwhile, Manziel is a fantastic college kid who's only mistake has been beating Alabama and pissing off the REC.

Makes perfect sense.

Like that shit matters TODAY. Mark Emmert was at LSU covering up for your coaches cheating ass when uat was finally getting raked over the coals. Now look who is in fucking charge and look where his tummy stick buddy wound up coaching. Hell the motherfucker even calls him Nick. Add to it the fact that NCAA head of infractions is a uat grad, you are blind as fuck if you don't think their is some biased judgement going on.

As for the media spin, I don't think its coincidence either that a uat grad is the motherfucker peddling the pictures of JF. I believe they (uat alumns, coaches, dick suckers, gumps in the media and their friends, whoever) are the ones that got the ball rolling with Cam and I believe that they are the ones that are stirring the pot with JF. Where BSPN comes in is BSPN cares about one thing. Views. What market watches the most shit CFB related? Birmingham. Who makes up the majority of the Birmingham market? Gumps. So don't act as if its a fucking stretch to believe that BSPN would pander to the crowd when the same crowd would love nothing more than see the down fall of JF. I've already see the shit happen once in a failed attempt to take down Cam.

Things don't happen overnight.  In 1981 the Alabama cabal didn't think there was any way little second-rate Aubren was gonna get uppity.  They'd hire a sire of Bear and things would go on just like they always did. Oh, them Aubrens might win a game or two heah or theah, but this was a Bammer state and don't ya fergit it.

Funny thing happened, though.  Cosmic convergence of a dead bear and an ascendant dye leveled the playing field. Them uppity Aubrens moved the dayum game down to they heathern pasture.  And them dirty Aubs was a busted play and a miracle field goal from winning eight straight!!

Well, we'll show them.  We'll go back to the tried and true method that always worked for da Bahr.  We'll bust they little butts with the NC-duba-A.  And they did.  And they ruined Dye (or tried to).

Another funny thing.  With Gentleman Shug around them Aubs had always sorta took it with a grin.  But maybe it was the dangdong winning they's doing, or maybe it was that dipdang Dye's fire and love but them uppity Aubs turned it right back around.  Did the same thing back with Jelks and sent the NCAA hounds back to Tuscaloosa.

And the great whale was wounded.  All the people who'd wanted to get at Bama saw the blood in the water and it was on like donkey kong.  Bama kept on doing what it had been doing all along -- cheating.  Except now, they weren't a sacred cow and people weren't afraid to call them on it.

It all started right then, people.  The plan you're seeing come to fruition today was born in the dust and dirt of the butt kickings Dye administered and the realization that they couldn't just do whatever they wanted and get away with it.

Things had to change.

Oh, they spent a lot of time trying to get out of their own way.  Mal Moore was the dumbest human being on the planet -- until his choice was scuttled by Finebaum at the urging of the bama money brokers and he flopped over and found Saban.

What you're seeing today is the culmination of two decades or more of steady work.  Because what "they" want isn't a level playing field or honest competition.  "They" want to destroy Auburn.  Always have, always will.

This isn't something that was devised last night or two years ago.

The seed was planted in the early 80s and fertilized in the 90s.  And now it's full grown.  They're almost back to where they can do whatever they want -- cheat, lie, steal -- with no fear whatsoever of retribution.

I believe the state media is pro Alabama. I even believe some pro Bama people were behind the Cam saga. But ESPN doesn't control every fucking media outlet in the US. Nor does the REC have a body in every market across the country controlling the Johnny Football press. To believe that takes a complete moron.

The dumb fuck is in the headlines because he is being a dumb fuck. Wear the tinfoil if you want to, but don't get defensive when someone says you're stupid.

Which implies that others were also offering.  In order for the turds to offer "more", there had to be other illicit offers on the table.

Copeland was probably butthurt over Foster flipping to Auburn, but he made the statement that Auburn offered more money than uat was willing to offer (being that he's a former player, he has more insight to how much money bama was putting up)...then Foster ends up signing with uat. So, using Copeland's "logic", that must mean that uat gave Foster a very lucrative deal.

Level playing field and all.

Fine.  Nail us.

But nail Bama too.  That's the point of my thread.  There's no fairness.  None at all.

You can't tell me that Tom Albetar's autograph assembly line isn't as much if not more shady than what we're hearing about Johnny Manziel.  Pictures of multiple Alabama superstars spending hours of their time signing autographs for him out of the goodness of their hearts.  Commercials advertising these athletes being at his store swept under the rug.

Didn't they ask Greg McElroy about it?  He answered, "Oh yeah, you know when we all go hang out at the mall we like to swing by his store."

Like football players go hang out at the fucking mall all the time and spend a long time at a suit store signing memorabilia for an immigrant just simply because what the fuck else would they be doing at that time.

I have no idea why it's happening like it is.  No clue.  Could be the mighty REC.  Could be that Alabama is a top 5 cash cow of college football.  Could be Bama graduates in the media.  Could simply be that Alabama is so good at covering it up that no one wants to risk the story.  Could be death threats.  Could be fanaticism.  Could be wanting to control who wins and who loses.  Could be Nick Saban.  Could be Mark Emmert.  Could be duffel bags of cash.  Could be Barack Obama.

No idea.  But these?

Those getting zero traction?  Getting not even a whiff?  The most from a mainstream sports media person was Charles Robinson praising the Alabama compliance department for their swift handling of the situation.  A brief letter to Tom Al-Betar asking him to pretty please stop doing those bad awful things.

Some bullshit.

Players can sign autographs all day long, even if who they are signing them for tells them to their face "I'm going to sell every one of these", or, "I'm going to hang every one of these in my store".  Perfectly legal.  There is a signed Cam Newton jersey inside of Big Daddy's in Fairhope.  Perfectly legal.

Yeah so can Johnny Manziel... The point THS is making is that you can sit there and honestly say you don't think they got ANYTHING for signing all those autographs?   And if you say yes you are lying to yourself.

They might not have gotten cash, but they got meals or suits.  No fucking way are those kids signing all that shit for turdswear Tom because they are nice guys. You used the point of Cam that was one Jersey....If turdwear just had 3-4 jerseys signed by multiple guys, then I would say yeah could be possible, but hundreds of jerseys (pictures to boot), just for the hell of it.  Nope.dont.buy.it

Oh and ask yourself this, if all of it was on the up and up, why the need for the disassociation letter?  Why the need to completely remove all pictures of the "evidence"?  Because it was perfectly legal?

There is no question some Shady shit went down with Tom. You'd be a fool to believe they did it for free. As for why there wasn't a penalty, I don't know. Maybe the NCAA couldn't prove, maybe they looked the other way. I don't know.  But that isn't the question that was presented. The question was, why is this a story when T-Town Tom wasn't.  The answer is, for one, Little Johnny has done a lot of stupid shit since winning the Heisman, and Tom isn't on record saying Bama kids sold autographs for money.  That is the difference. Any logically thinking human being can come to the conclusion that Trent Richardson received benefits from Tom Albafuck.  But it has to be proven. Maybe pics weren't enough proof. Maybe Trent had receipts for all the meals.  Or maybe the NCAA didn't want to place Alabama on probation.  When Charles Robinson started looking into the story, I was a bit nervous. Not saying he is the end all of journalism, but maybe he found there simply wasn't enough hard evidence.  Or maybe every journalist worth his salt was paid hush money to keep it quiet.  Whatever happened with that, I'm certain the REC doesn't have enough money to pay every sports editor in every major market to keep Manziel in the headlines.

Or maybe the REC and white hispanics will be the fall of western civilization.

I was arguing against Goatboys logic.  I don't care for Manziel either way. I think you would have to be a complete and utter DUMBASS to think that you are going to get away with asking for money (and think you would get away with it) in todays technology age.  I don't buy into the conspiracy theory that the REC or bammer had anything to do with Johnny's current issue.

The turdwear Tom thing is another matter entirely.

Yep.  Technology and the fact that people in general, suck.  So, our favorite ESPN "reporter", Joe Schad, claims to have witnessed cell phone video of JFF signing memorabilia.  My question is what piece of shit took it upon his/herself to turn that over to Schad or anyone else in the media?  Make you feel damn good about yourself?  Just like Riley Cooper.  Yeah, he said it.  Yeah, someone decided they needed to film it.  But why did they feel the need to get it out there, knowing full well the trouble it would probably cause.  The bigger question is why was it put out there when it was.  Not right after it happened.  Nope.  Orchestrated to hit the air at the start of training camp weeks later.  Why?  Because people suck.

Let me add some local fuel to the fire...

The rumor here is that Johnny Fucking Football and his greedy family have decided to trademark the name "Johnny Football".  Once they did that, EBay immeidately removed all the "Johnny Football" stuff from its site, thereby causing those who paid the little schnitzel the money to lose on their investment.  THAT's why they decided to fuck Johnny Fucking Football.

If that's true, that makes me guffaw.  All the greedy SOB's in this story get theirs.  Except Joe Schad.  If I had the funding, I would put a PI on him 24/7 and find SOMETHING I could use to ruin him like he does other people.  Everyone has secrets.  The problem with Schad is that he uses the whole "confidential source" thing so often that he can make shit up without consequence.
