Can I Have Yo Number? Can I Have It?
« on: August 01, 2013, 03:23:39 PM »
I think Prowler posted some pics last week of the incoming freshmen trying on their new jerseys. A follow up article from al.kum on some of the official number changes.

Dee Ford is changing numbers, and he's got big shoes to fill.

Well, at least according to Auburn's punter.

The senior defensive end will exchange his No. 95 jersey for No. 30 this season. He'll share the number with senior punter Steven Clark, the Tigers' Ray Guy Award nominee.

"He better make me proud, then," Clark said when alerted of the news. "I was wearing it first, right?"

Linebacker Cassanova McKinzy gives up his jersey (30) and will wear No. 8 this fall.

Ford's number change was the most surprising of the four major changes on the roster, which included Ricardo Louis sticking with No. 5 after experimenting with No. 6 in the spring. Defensive back Jonathan Mincy will wear No. 6 as he makes the switch to No. 21.

Freshman defensive tackle Montravius Adams will wear No. 1, a jersey number that doesn't quite match his build -- he enters camp at 6-foot-4, 305 pounds.

"That's going to be the biggest 1 in the nation," defensive end Nosa Eguae said. "That's going to be nice."

Below you will find every newcomers' new jersey number, number changes for scholarship and walk-on players, and numbers for new walk-ons on the roster. Former Texas Tech quarterback Tucker Tuberville and defensive end Chase Robison have not yet arrived on campus, so their numbers are not yet available.

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.' That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.'

Not so fast my friend. They could simply have been overlooked by every other major D1 program in the country. I know that I was. Also, the minor ones.
