Auburn already has one commitment from Georgia Military College. Now the Tigers will find out next month if they'll get another. Auburn is in the top three along with Florida and Tennessee for GMC defensive tackle DaVonte Lambert, who plans to announce a commitment on Aug. 13. The 6-foot-3, 275-pounder is a four-star prospect according to 247Sports, which ranks him as the No. 1 junior-college strong-side defensive end in the country, and a three-star according to Rivals. He has visited all three of his favorite schools within the last couple of months.
"I think I know where I want to go, but I got to talk to my family and grandma," Lambert told 247Sports. "This isn't about myself, it's about making my family happy as well. That's why I took my mom and my grandma on my visits. I just want to know what school they are most interested in and where they can see me playing, where do they think they can see me play."
Lambert's teammate at Georgia Military College, Devaroe Lawrence, committed to Auburn earlier this month.
