Read in SI that Keegan Thompson, the pitcher from Cullman that was Mr Alabama Baseball this year, signed with Auburn.

Yeah he signed back in November but everybody was holding their breath for the MLB Draft, which took place in June.

He informed MLB teams that he wouldn't sign with them and was going to Auburn. Most thought he would go pretty early on in the first couple of rounds if he had been open to signing a pro contract.

The draft was in early June and he reaffirmed his decision to attend Auburn at that point.

Huge for the program.
