I posted that article to gain exactly what I knew you could give me: clarification. Thank you.
...
Glad that I could offer enlightenment.
Here is the next thing I would like for you to debunk and/or verify. It came in an email, with no link (scared yet?), and it has a fair amount of Conservative propaganda in it...or does it?
I got the same e-mail the other day. I have not had time to verify, but my opinion is, I am not now or will will I ever support one new dollar in taxes. With this being my view, I could never vote for a democrat.
We pay enough already, fuck em if they can't make their trillions last fo all their spending programs and pork
As Ronald Reagan used to say "Trust, but verify." I get a lot of emails like this myself (although I had not seen this one until you posted it, Thrilla).
I checked Snopes.com which is usually a great source for the veracity of emails like this one. They do have an entry on this email and it's status is "False".
Taxes, like the economy, cannot be truly rendered easily in relatively simple terms like this email. When it comes to taxes I do know that generally McCain is against any new tax but once it is in place he'll defend it. I think that he supports continuing the Bush tax cuts but if he does happen to win the election I still think he'll have a belligerent,
Democrat Socialist controlled Congress to deal with which may allow only for some kind of compromise on it's continuance (meaning there will be a tax increase anyway because when RINOs compromise
Democrats Socialists win.) However, if Obama wins you can be assured that there will be a tax increase across the board (unless you're a Katrina "victim").
Anyway, Snopes.com has a lengthy rebuttal of this email which is worth reading if you want to educate yourself on this subject; be sure to read the links also:
http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/taxes.aspI never forward crap like this without verifying it first.
