Makes sense.  Although he was a little late to help.

Ohio has some of the strictest laws in the country. They don't play up there.

My own personal opinion is that if two cops are in the car, one should be assigned an M4 (or P90). And said M4 should stay with that cop everywhere the cop goes. (Need to take a shit? Learn how to do it with an M4). As the driver approaches a vehicle, the M4 cop should have the weapon at ready. This would eliminate many would be shooters from attacking. As soon as this guy stepped from the vehicle, a trained cop with an M4 would have eliminated the threat before any round was fired. People are crazy, we need to always account for that.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

How many traffic stops have two officers in the car? Wait for backup if there is only one officer at the scene? There is no time to wait for a back-up here. Bulletproof windshields should be standard along with some armored body parts. There is another solution. First of all, the officer should not crawl up the suspect's ass with his vehicle giving more room for error on the assailant's part when they fire a weapon. Secondly, disabling a vehicle would distract and cause more panic on the suspect's part (microwave technology has this one). Thirdly, I much prefer the M3 in this situation because of the knock down power of the .45 round and automatic firing capability.
