Job Posting for Mech Engineer - in Houston

TETRA has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer for their Production Testing and Completion Fluids Division.   Based in The Woodlands, TX, this position will include work in various onshore and offshore fields in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Louisiana and Arkansas. 

Duties include:

Provide engineering and support for the design of production testing equipment.
Inspect and evaluate existing and potential fabrication vendors.
Supervise drafting/designers in development of “as built” drawings.
Provide QA/QC support for component parts of production testing equipment.
Provide technical support to the Health Safety and Environmental department.
Manage the inspections and re-certifications of high pressure, oil field equipment.
 

Qualifications:

Good technical skills with knowledge of oilfield and downhole operations a plus. 
Should be detailed focused and technically orientated.   
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with engineers, customers and field personnel. 
Basic MS Office computer skills. 
Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines. 
BSME preferred, BSCE also considered.
This is an entry level position however, candidates with 2-3 yrs experience will also be considered.
