As badly as this game sucked, the aftermath was even more notorious.  Georgia won this one 20-16 (if I remember correctly, UGA intercepted a Jeff Burger pass as we were driving for a possible go-ahead score) and knocked us out of any shot at the Sugar Bowl.  Some of their fans then proceeded to act like complete asshats and we busted out the fire hoses.

It did provide fodder for a humorous bumper sticker later...after our win over Alabama that same season, this gem was produced:  "The Good We Hose, The Weak We Beat"

I wore my t-shirt surrounding that game for years until it finally just fell to pieces from too much wear.

I was at that game, Brent Fullwood broke away from 3 Uga defenders for a touchdown but it was called back, the ref's said the defenders stopped his forward progress. I thought it was bullshit! I have hated Uga ever since.

I remember that too.  The funniest thing was that I ran into my uncle, who I hadn't seen in a few years, walking down the ramp from the upper deck after the game.  We stopped and watched the hosing together...good times.

And yes, the call on Fullwood was complete Bullshit.
