I can't think of a draft I've cared about less.  Not because of a lack of AU guys but I just don't recognize 80% of the names, and I follow college football closely.

Having said that, haven't seen any predictions but I could see Lutz going to someone like Denver simply because he seems to be the type of reliable guy that Manning always has with him.  Looks like he's not doing much and next thing you know he's got 12 catches.

Lemonier will fare relatively well. Lutzy should get drafted eventually as well.

http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/0ap1000000162248/article/2013-nfl-draft-sevenround-mock-forecasts-every-pick-1-to-254

Those guys have Lemonier going in the 3rd round, and Lutzy going in the 7th.

For as much as we loved Lutz he never seemed to get the national attention for some reason.

What about Blake and Bates?

1.  Lemonier and Lutz.  Maybe Emory Blake.

2.  Because he's the only quarterback prospect that looks like the typical white pretty boy quarterback prospect.  Geno Smith is an obvious bust.  The other guys are from smaller schools, and none of them really test well enough to be seen as a true NFL starter.  Barkley at least has the measurables and has had them since his sophomore year of high school.

3.  Not as much as I usually do.  The second year in a row that Auburn is not in it and Alabama will dominate it.  The Saints aren't in a position to draft a big name guy.  No real game changers seem to be in this entire draft.

Really?  I think he might get a shot (maybe as a free agent) as a strong safety.

I think he won the defensive player of the year. I think his name was called out at half for the award. Stranger things have happened. We had a 2nd teamer who retired from the NFL.

I can see Bates getting drafted in the late rounds.  The guy was out of position for 3 seasons and I still wonder what he could have accomplished had he been left where he was.  I'll go ahead and call it. If Neiko got drafted and made a squad, Bates is destined for the HOF.

Bates is a contact guy and he has decent hands. Teams seem to find the right fit and I can see him catching on.

There is a GM somewhere holding his breath that Lutz makes it that far down. His injury is keeping  a lot of teams away. But you better bet he has been talked about as having the best hands of any TE in a long time. I would love to see him picked up by ATL to take Tony's place.

One thing I find absolutely hilarious during the first round, hearing Kiper, Mcshay, Berman, etc. talk about who the Saints (as a example) should pick...giving three or four options, then the Saints picks some unknown guy at Defensive Tackle from State Poly Tech Catholic School for the Deaf, Blind & Mute...

You can imagine the taking heads whispering, who the fuck is that, I don't have anything on him, then about 15 seconds after the pick they say ”uhhhh, this guy...I mean wow, he's a Defensive Tackle, he has great strength and gets up field with outstanding usage of his hands, just commands the field, etc, etc.” But the highlight show him getting pushed around, just getting demolished so much so that you think he's actually the offensive lineman killing the defensive guy, but it keeps showing the same defensive tackle getting tossed around.

Then Kiper, with his face red as a Stop Sign, angrily explains, ”I didn't have him that high on my board, but apparently the New Orleans Saints see something in him.”

Happens every year in the 1st round atleast once, maybe not that extreme.

I really had no interest in watching it whatsoever this year (Thanks Gene).  I guess Auburn's season sucked all of the football following ability right out of me, because when I watched the sportscast this morning and saw the name of the 1st pick, I said "who?"  Quite honestly, the only names I recognized were the retahds and Mantai Teo.

The very first highlight they showed when Milliner got picked was the ND receiver catching a pass over him.  1st and 10.

Now granted, it was probably the only positive play ND had for 3 quarters, but...

Weakest 1st round I've ever seen.

No safe running back picks.

The quarterback class is horrendous.

Linebackers outside of Dion Jordan are very questionable.  Jarvis Jones is a beast on the field, but his lack of top end speed is extremely risky for an NFL team.  If you go back and watch the Cordalle Patterson highlight video, you can see Jones in position to run him down but just runs out of steam.  Looks like an overweight guard trying to finish his last sprints on conditioning day.  Ogletree is a converted safety and a bit too small to play inside linebacker.

Wide receiver has issues as well.  Tavon Austin is a playmaker, but he is short.  Wes Welker and DeSean Jackson are both smaller guys that can run, but they have a lot of consistency running routes and catching the ball.  Can Austin translate his skills to the NFL like those other little guys?  It's a risk.  Patterson is the most gifted athlete in the entire draft, but the guy had key drops all year long.  He has a bad history and will probably need a few growing up years like Dez Bryant.

The only safe picks in the 1st round this year were offensive linemen and defensive ends.

At cornerback, I like Dee Milliner's chances of being productive in the NFL, but the other guys are big question marks.  DJ Hayden is still recovering from a near-death on-the-field injury, and Desmond Trufant, while a great cover man, is extremely small to be physical enough to handle the NFC South receivers.  A guy like Colston or Vincent Jackson will have a field day if Trufant has to cover them.

Best pick in the draft, in my humble opinion, was Datone Jones.  Guy is a force.  Tremendous speed and strength and is relentless in getting backfield penetration.  Combine him with Clay Matthews, and the Packers will have the most dangerous defensive line on 3rd downs.

I also really like Eifert to the Bengals.  Andy Dalton is a rising star, and having a tall, physical tight end to throw to will be a huge help.

Dion Jordan was one of the worst top 3 picks, I've seen. One of his highlights? Was him on the kickoff coverage team (he made the tackle, but so does Craig Sanders that doesn't make him top 3 material).
First Draft since '63 that a RB wasn't taken in the 1st round.
My top three guys are Vikings CB Xavier Rhodes, Colts DE Bjorn Werner & Packers DE Datone Jones
