A little insight on possible rotations. Oh please, Jake. Have class every day. Please. Plus...Kenneth carter at end? Interesting. He's about 285.
Auburn clearly still has a couple of positions where the Tigers will rotate throughout the spring. The first should come as no surprise. At quarterback, when Auburn ran its 11-on-11 pace drills, Kiehl Frazier was the quarterback out there with the first group, after Jonathan Wallace took those snaps on Wednesday. Cameron Artis-Payne was the first running back in that group, with walk-on Patrick Lymon behind him, and Jay Prosch was lined up with the initial group as the H-back.
Other than that, very few changes in the 11-on-11, although the defense had a couple of tweaks. With Jake Holland at practice (he has a class on Wednesdays), Kris Frost and Cassanova McKinzy were the linebackers with the first group, and Robenson Therezie continues to work at Star. When the Tigers went through pace drills, Demetruce McNeal was back with Auburn's No. 1 team at boundary safety after Trent Fisher filled that position on Wednesday.
** Auburn's first-team defense included Dee Ford and Ken Carter at the ends, Gabe Wright and Jeff Whitaker at defensive tackle, Kris Frost and Cassanova McKinzy at linebacker, Justin Garrett at Star, Chris Davis and Jonathon Mincy at cornerback, Demetruce McNeal and Jermaine Whitehead at safety.
** Auburn's second unit was Craig Sanders and Justin Delaine on the ends, Jabrian Niles and Ben Bradley at defensive tackle, LaDarius Owens and Chris Landrum at linebacker, Robenson Therezie at Star, Josh Holsey and Jonathan Jones at corner, Trent Fisher and Ryan Smith at safety.
** Auburn's first-team offensive line hasn't changed, but the second group had an interesting look, with Shon Coleman and Shane Callahan at tackle, Jordan Diamond and Devonte Danzey at guard and center Tunde Fariyike. Diamond worked at right guard with that group.
** Tre Mason is taking kickoffs and going through pass drills, but he may still be held out of 11-on-11 drills. His left ankle still looks a little balky.
** Angelo Blackson, who sat out Wednesday's practice with an injury, was also back on the practice field and working with the second defense out there during the pace drill.
** Devonte Danzey was back at practice on Friday after missing Wednesday's practice. During Auburn's pace drill, Danzey lined up at left guard.
** JaViere Mitchell is still out of practice with an undisclosed injury. When Mitchell returns, he will likely move back to linebacker after starting the spring at Star.
