DANIA BEACH, Fla. (WIAT) - The biological father of Alabama football signee Reuben Foster has been arrested in Dania Beach, Florida by the U.S. Marshal's office.

Danny Foster shot his wife, Anita Berry Paige & 18-month old son Reuben in 1995. The boy was wounded in his back. Foster was indicted by a Randolph County grand jury in 1996 and fled the state before being arrested in California.

He escaped the jail in December of 1996.

Foster took on a new identity and has been in South Florida working odd jobs for the past three or four years.

Reuben signed a football scholarship to play at the University of Alabama on Wednesday. He is considered to be one of the country's top recruits.
